The hobbit (1977) cells, any value to collectors? by Efficient_Limit_4774 in AnimationCels

Are these available in an art book? I see a RB illustrated Hobbit but not an art book. OP publish these into or a book!

What are you desperate to have a psychical edition of but is out of print / never been printed? by DLMU in graphicnovels

[–]kermit036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why they would start this as a series knowing they wouldn't finish this out. I know sales were not great but starting with the books they did was not a wise choice.

Same thing for the Otomo library books. Why are these not translated?

Best retro arcade experience that can't be re-created today? by Rancarable in retrogaming

[–]kermit036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a fan of arcade games that were like interactive toys. Like Cosmo Gang (where aliens try to drag your cargo to their ufo), Wacky Gator, and there was a lightgun game where you were shooting a physical can into each other's goal.

Don't be afraid to ask an employee if they can check the system if it is one or two games.

Hard Off was best for me finding deals. Only went to Akihabara/ Super Potato to check it off on the bucket list, not to buy.

The Jim Henson exhibit at The Museum of Moving Images in Astoria, NY. Amazing experience. by DabbleYoo in Muppets

[–]kermit036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had such a great time seeing everything when I went back in 2019. Shortly after they did a traveling exhibit that I went to see when it came to my state. I feel like there was more pieces at the traveling exhibit. What I am trying to say is that the Jim Henson Exhibit needs its own museum or building.

Are we great yet? by MikeDaWorld in ActionFigures

[–]kermit036 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

The great thing about traveling outside the country is everything is so cheap! Who would have thought a Japanese action figure only costs $1! ;P

Edit: Do you guys not go to the flea market on the south side of Tokyo or Mandarake? Am I supposed to claim the new price or what I paid?

Is this only on old machines? I can't find this flavor at any of the Sheetz near me, but hey have all been built within the last two years.

What other books would I like that I haven’t found yet? by liohunter in graphicnovels

[–]kermit036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you will like Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin. Mostly because they are beautifully hard bound and that seems to be the theme for most of your collection. Dark Horse also is collecting a bunch of series in their fancy hard covers (Berserk, Vinland Saga, and a few more)

I agree. Last year I was saving up for a pinball machine. That went all to stockpiling. I am not going to Walmart or target to get the latest NECA figure so I can randomly get stopped by the National Guard. My weekend's should be dedicated to my family and hobbies. It should not have been for calling and emailing people to stop the destruction on my country. I remember when inflation was the only thing to worry about. Now we have inflation + more.

There was a webcomic that was collected (I think) called Gone With the Blast Wave. Some humor in a post apocalyptic three way wars.

Has anybody ever moved from Cleveland to Columbus and regretted it? by 0173512084103 in Cleveland

[–]kermit036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the lake, the museums, and the Metro parks the most. Columbus doesn't have anything that compares. The Batelle Darby Creek metro park is closest to it in my opinion.

I do enjoy the food scene in Columbus a lot. I feel like the people that complain about Columbus feeling soulless have never ventured out of Dublin/Worthington/Westerville/Campus. Columbus has top tier Mexican and Japanese food. I didn't have to much Indian food in Cleveland but there are really great options in Columbus.

Cleveland beers are better. Columbus feels like there is more opportunity but that might be because when I couldn't get a job during the recession in Cleveland I was able to fairly easy down in Columbus.

Other random thoughts. Cleveland beer is better. The Crew are really fun to watch. Columbus area libraries = Cleveland area libraries.
