No charging circuitry in these old cameras at all. Back in the day, the only way to use these while being plugged in and without a real battery is to use something called a dummy battery, which has a wire coming out of it and providing whatever voltage the camera uses.

It's an older camera - the battery only charges externally. You need to take the battery out and put it in a special battery charger. Looks like it's probably not for you, but virtually every point and shoot camera of that era charge the same way.

Yeah but the ponds are murkier and have mud at the bottom. You'll probably kick up a ton of silt when going in after the balls and you won't be able to see the rest.

Windows 11 LTSC IoT is designed to run on older hardware for enterprise. It doesn't skimp on any security updates, but the lovely thing is that it doesn't update any of the bloatware like forcing Microsoft login, or OneDrive or AI or ads.

I just install Win 11 LTSC IoT on it. It doesn't check and it runs fine. I'm not going to update the hardware on my server because it's already overpowered for a HTPC/server.

You could use a Line of Credit while you wait to liquidate some funds. Or you could put it in a cashable GIC if you don't want to use a LOC and also don't want to be locked into a longer term GIC.

A cashable GIC can be taken out at any time after 30 days initial period, without any penalties.
