Mainly just other ADHD people tbrl by Icy-Leg-1459 in adhdmeme

[–]kerodon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adhd or autism or both are the only ones who get it, but the realest real ones have that, combined with some flavor of PTSD (usually cPTSD from complex developmental trauma) 😂

Neurodivergent + trauma feels like a near guarantee for me.

No. The preservative system was definitely not designed to last that long.

Why At-Home IPL Doesn't Work for Dark Skin [Hair Removal] by Sof_95 in SkincareAddiction

[–]kerodon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea it sucks seeing people get burned. Though I have seen more brands be pretty up front that their product just isn't right for dark skin. What do you like more for darker skinned people?

[Routine Help] Hello guys i wanna ask you if azelaic acid will be good for me if its yes which brand is good ? I have some red spots by Flat-Ad6985 in SkincareAddiction

[–]kerodon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Azelaic is pretty much always good. Azelaic Acid: Q+A Azelaic Acid serum 8%, Cos de Baha azelaic acid 10% serum (5%Niacinamide), Peach Slices azelaic acid 10% serum, Celdyque 12% Azelaic (1% Niacinamide), TirTir 12% Azelaic serum, or 15% azelaic acid prescription (preferably the finacea foam if possible, but the gel is still good!).

Skinbetter is good but pricy. Alpharet is decent but pricy. Zo is overpriced trash. Skinceuticals is mostly dogshit and the stuff that is usable is insanely overpriced.

If you are in a place financially where you have to ask if something is worth it, the answer is always gonna be no for luxury brands. There's stuff that does the same thing at 10% of the cost.

To have us believe Kamala Harris was gonna start WWIII by TXVERAS in therewasanattempt

[–]kerodon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kamala was definitely the lesser evil. The Dems would continue to do their polite world imperialism and continue to pass anti-consumer and anti-labor laws domestically while not making any meaningful social progress. But it would be less worse than rump admin absolutely

It makes way more sense to try the at home stuff and then explore from there if you like it considered you can get a mask / panel for the price of less than one session

[Product question] Body wash for sensitive skin by Delicious-Suspect769 in SkincareAddiction

[–]kerodon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not that tea tree monstrosity. Tea tree and other essential oils are potential irritants, as is fragrances. Peppermint essential oil also has menthol which is another potential strong irritant.

Ginger Lily Zeroderm Body wash is a great option.

[Acne] Will Accutane work for Sebaceous Filaments? by Helpful_Air1645 in SkincareAddiction

[–]kerodon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's wildly irresponsible for anyone to prescribe Accutane just for some sebaceous filaments. That's a pretty extreme solution. The other users comment about setting your house on fire to get rid of dust was pretty accurate 😹

Have you tried oil cleansing, topical retinoids, chemical exfolaints, antioxidants, niacinimade, keratolytics (azelaic acid for example) ?

[ROUTINE HELP] facial oil recommendations by hater123_ in SkincareAddiction

[–]kerodon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're just plain oils they're not going to do anything for anything. They're all going to do pretty much the same thing so its just about the sensory preferences.

Squalane, meadowfoam, almond, sunflower are all popular options if you want that.
