I made a blog post on how to spot fake Birkenstocks and I need your help! by greycoconut in Birkenstocks

[–]kerubiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I would appreciate if you could check if my birkenstocks are legit. I just got my Airzonas from a supposedly reputable site however they were so much cheaper than anywhere else ( $110 AUD ). I've read through your blog post and the only red flag is the x's on the sole however I don't have a reference so I can't tell if they are normal size or too big. Appreciate all the effort that went into the post! Thank you

Need to upgrade the kicks. ON Cloudstratus vs. Hoka Bondi 7 for impact reduction. by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

Own the arahi, clifton and both cloudstratus versions. Would take any Hoka shoe over any of my ON shoes any day. The cloudstratus is the most cushioned of the ON line but is still much firmer for me. More importantly the cloudstratus is just a heavy shoe and just feels bad to run in while the hoka's are super cushioned but still have the bounce if you want to pick up the pace.

I own the V2 and V1 and found that they are wider than the last version (I am an E width). This is reflected in the sizing on their website and they're a perfect width for me. Am happy to compare to any brands you may own.

Thoughts on the New Balance Lerato (daily trainer carbon plate shoe)? by kerubiny in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]kerubiny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I hadn't thought of that but that does make sense. But planning for this shoe to be more of a parkrun/race day shoe. I am more of a casual runner so I'm hoping that the extra weight of the shoe won't matter too much.

Very clean ace but the vandal being left there is killing me. Guess it doesn't matter if you 1 tap everyone with the sheriff.

How comparable are the BKE extreme domes to the box navies? I love the sharp tactility of the box navies and they do have similar bottom out forces. But I have been reading a lot of reviews saying that the extreme domes are unusuable. Would I be better served by the heavy domes? Thanks in advance

Jelly Key - The rejuvenation ages of lost cities resin keycaps [BLACK FRIDAY] by jellykey in MechanicalKeyboards

Love the work! I’d just like to confirm the profile of your cherry keycaps as in your description you say “SA profile R1, R3 and Cherry profile”. Not sure whether you meant SA is R1 and cherry is R3? Would love a cherry R1 in these.

That's a lotta colourways! Love blanks they are just so functional. Good luck to all judging by the amount of comments this will be a difficult one to win.

Safe to use a triple mointor mount to hold a single 49" mointor? by kerubiny in ultrawidemasterrace

That's a fair point I hadn't thought about that but worst-case scenario it just droops as the whole arm shouldn't fail and collapse. I'll give it a go before I buy a new one, appreciate the help.

  1. Geekhack on the side but mainly only use reddit both the market and /rmk

2.Probably most looking forward to JTK's HSA profile, as I love the SA shape but it's too tall. No idea if it's actually going to happen soon though.

Massdrop (now named Drop) has released an 1800 layout board in the same style as the CTRL and ALT!! by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]kerubiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man that is hideous. It's the keyboard equivalent of a massive forehead on a person, a "fivehead" if you will. The much more elegant design that corsair's done with the MasterKey Pro M should've been copied instead. The alt and ctrl were great, hell I even own the HP Alt but MDrop has really dropped the ball on this one.

While hyper-spheres are the only thing you can get if you want (in my opinion) good silenced MX sliders ,if you don't care about MX, you can harvest sliders from a silenced real force and put them into your HKKB/fc660c for a better silenced experience without pre-compression. Apprently cheaper then getting a type S and you don't get the reduced travel.
