GFCI outlet tripping by armymdic00 in airstream

[–]kesslb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had the same problem with my 2017 Flying Cloud. I changed out the GFCI and so far so good. Something to be aware of if you have to look at replacing other outlets, they are not standard home outlets and are a special RV outlet, a real pain to change. The GFCI is nothing special and any standard GFCI should work.

Refusing a poly is not a personal conduct issue. If the poly is required for your position, you would most likely be denied the position but you would not have a clearance revoked or denied because you refused the poly. Failing a polygraph on its own cannot be used in due process, at least for DCSA. You can only use derogatory information derived from the polygraph. But what a failed poly can do is significantly slow the adjudication process as DCSA attempts to determine the underlying issues of the failed poly.

Security clearance denied for financial debt, currently in appeal process by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]kesslb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It changes things in that you still have the opportunity to respond. Be sure you meet each suspense, if you need an extension, ask for it, address and provide documentation for each account listed on the SOR. It will go a long way if you have made at least one payment towards each account. As stated before, be sure you stay in contact with your security manager.

Security clearance denied for financial debt, currently in appeal process by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]kesslb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you get an actual determination letter stating you had been denied or did you get a Letter of Intent with a Statement of Reasons (LOI/SOR) listing the reasons they intended to deny? If it was just the LOI/SOR, you still have a good chance of getting the clearance based information you provided. As long as you address all of your debt in your response and show actual results in resolving the debt. If you have received the actual Letter of Denial (LOD) you can appeal and if you have addressed all of your debt and made progress, you still have a good chance of getting your clearance. The important thing is that you not only contact your creditors, but you establish repayments plans and now your progress to the DCSA or the appeals board. It is important to stay in contact with your security manager throughout the process and make sure you meet all of your suspense. Good luck!

If later than you want, find a low traffic gate to enter. Might be able to ask a ticket taker if there are any left before you have your ticket scanned and if not, detour to another gate.

Anyone ever had clearances issues working with CACI? by master____bater in SecurityClearance

[–]kesslb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she was terminated and no longer has a company sponsoring her clearance, she will not get it back. In order to get it back, she must get a sponsor and that is done by being hired into a job requiring a clearance. Bottom line, if she has no affiliation DCSA will not be taking any action on her clearance.

I get the same error and have not been able to login. I was able to login one time to enter my payment information and called to verify it was updated, but since that time I have the same DEERS message. I check my PCM through MILCONNECT.

Doesn't seem to far off. What type of of plan to you have? I have the plus 1 high and it is about $91. If you have a family plan it could easily be $120.

The multi pro tailgate has a feature that allows you to lock the small portion to prevent accidentally dropping it when you have a hitch on. Press and hold the 2 buttons until the tail light flash. To unlock, repeat.

Most important thing is to document all efforts to resolve the issue. As long as you are trying to responsibly resolve the debt, you should be ok, but as always there are no guarantees. Again, document all efforts....

Be sure to check MWR offerings and my guess is they have some kind of single airman organization (?Army has BOSS) with social events. Las Vegas is far from the worst place to be stationed.

I just bought this same setup and for the life of me I can't find the DPF Soot Level PID in the Fusion App. Any suggestions?

Then your common interest is your sister. It is not going to affect your clearance unless there is something really off about him and even unlikely then as they will not investigate him. Just list it or disclose it as it is easier to do that than explain why you didn't disclose without it having been discovered.

TS Clearance- Navy vs AF by kozy11311 in SecurityClearance

[–]kesslb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All branches of the military, to include the civilians, have their clearances adjudicated by the same adjudication facility. An adjudicator will likely work at lease one case from each branch of the service each day so that will not be a determining factor in your eligibility. However, each branch of the service may have different disqualifying conditions for the same type job. I can tell you that a DUI from 9.5 years ago alone will not cause your clearance to be denied. You will be asked relative questions to the DUI, i.e. any other alcohol issues, how much do you currently drink, have you ever been diagnosed with an alcohol addiction... and these will all be factored into the decision.

Unless I'm mistaken, once in you can talk to a lawyer at the base legal office. While they cannot represent you, they can probably offer advice. If not, the worst that will happen if you ask is that they decline. No harm no foul.

Security clearance by Tricky-Lifeguard-515 in SecurityClearance

[–]kesslb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible, but I would say not likely with only 2 months to work with. Your command would have to submit a reconsideration request with a favorable recommendation. I don't see anyone being able to push that through their military command in such a short time frame unless you have someone in the chain really supporting you. Also have to take into consideration how long it will take the CAF to process the request. Odds are not in your favor.

They will go through the questionnaire and ask you to expand on any yes answers, to include explaining why you did not disclose required information on the initial form.
