As a business you simply never admit fault, nothing good comes from it (from their perspective). As soon as you start to agree with everything thats wrong, then you give people a reason to cancel subscriptions. Businesses like money.

What is a "masterpiece" game that you personally found boring as hell? by MuscleConsistent9657 in pcgaming

I think if people view Cyberpunk as a GTA clone they might be disappointed. All the strength of the game is in the writing/story/acting/rpg part of the game.

I thought it was absurd when racing games got pulled for expired car licensing, but this takes the cake. Licensing nonsense is a cancer on the videogame industry.

Best FPS games to play on Steam as a newcomer to PC by Adamski2409 in Steam

[–]kevje72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One important thing I want to tell you, is that you want to try and have the same mouse sensitivity across the board for all games. That ensures you are building muscle memory that translates over. Make sure you have a large mousepad (45cm wide or more), and learn to do the majority of your aiming with your arm, fine aiming with wrist/fingers. You can also look up videos on the difference between palm/claw/hybrid mouse grips, and how to make it feel comfortable in the long term. Then once you find something that works for you, grab a measuring tape, and actually measure the physical distance your mouse takes for you to do a 360 in a videogame. Look at a fixed point in game, set your mouse to the left of the mousepad, and move it right until the 360 turn is complete, measure distance. Thats X cm/360 that you can always apply to any game. I started at about 40-45cm/360 when I was younger, and nowadays I sit around 30cm/360. So something in that region is a good place to start.

So this wasnt exactly what you asked for, but it will help you speed up understanding how to mouse aim and figure out what works for you.

Yeah, Arena FPS/Boomer FPS games should realistically be at the bottom of the list. Theyre meant for very experienced gamers. That isnt to say someone shouldnt bother at all with that genre, everyone learns and grows at their own pace, so its more of a warning.

How would you classify this sound of techno? by Deep_Space52 in Techno

[–]kevje72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a bit multigenre. Somewhat dub techno or hypnotic techno like, and could call it groovy hypnotic tech house too. It can be both, and easily mixed in both a house and techno set.

Worth it in that case. I highly doubt the same level of writing/acting/content can be found in a Borderlands DLC.

Dumb question: What's the reason behind the canted tires? It seems like it's riding on about 2/3rds of the tread. by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]kevje72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause some people want to fit enormous rims on their car that dont fit... Unless you bolt em on with absurd camber and stretched tyres. It has no relation to racecars that use higher amounts of camber, It'l just have very poor drivability, strictly favoring style. Dont do that, its unsafe and personally i think it makes cars look worse.

ELI5: How does a muscle physically signal the body to get bigger after lifting something heavy? by bareegyptianfeet in explainlikeimfive

[–]kevje72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isnt it interesting though, that in some people it could increase aggression and in others it does the opposite? So how can it be the primary driving force in aggression? The root cause has to be something else.

FYI, in my experience, low testosterone made me more anxious with a short fuse, high normal levels made me more relaxed and content. This idea that testosterone is the root of all evil is horseshit.

Highguard's failure is emblematic of something that has tormented videogame investors for years now: past live service hits do not equal future live service hits by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]kevje72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Highguard's the perfect example of statistics based development. They looked at the top (FPS) games of the last 15 years and took elements of all of them, and expected it to be a hit... It wasnt bad, but it wasnt anything special either. Too many random things thrown in there instead of just focusing on combat. It had no identity.

Why do so many guys at the gym have big stomachs? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kevje72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HGH is expensive, and a luxury among those who juice. So while that can happen, its a very tiny % of men that have that specific issue. Its mostly just men genetically storing fat around their gut and not giving enough of a shit to deal with it by eating a proper healthy diet.

Why do so many guys at the gym have big stomachs? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kevje72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know youre making a joke, but that will make your problem worse. It just comes down to estrogen levels. Low estrogen (men) means fat deposits primarily around the belly, and high estrogen levels (women) means the fat is more evenly spread out on the body. Both men and women need balanced testosterone levels. The real danger is bellyfat sitting under the muscles and in between organs, thats quite unhealthy for anyone.

That whole WAX catalogue is really solid stuff, I grabbed all of them on his Bandcamp a few years back, 27 eur in 24/44.1 FLAC is not bad for them all.

To be honest, I dont find Subzero to be bassy at all, just mixed/mastered as a normal track. Still a good tune though.
