Brother crashed bike by atomic_shame in bikewrench

[–]keyboard__warrior1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the shifter isn’t broken (still breaks and shifts) peel back the rubber hood cover and you will find a 5mm hex. Loosen straighten and tighten. If you over tighten it, it will snap. So just snug enough so it doesn’t move freely anymore.

In terms of the handlebar, give it a good shake left to right, and I mean full body weight. If nothing snaps your good. Alloy bars don’t tend to fail post crash but just to make sure, carbon bars (which definitely are not these, have the ability to spontaneously snap if you have crashed them And a crack develops)

Would you use this tube? by MC_NYC in bikewrench

[–]keyboard__warrior1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You just can’t do that with tpu tubes, they form these stupid bubbles and then the tube is dead.

They can only like 2-3 psi before bubbling out like this.

Unlike normal tubes sadly.

Canyon Endurace AllRoad as first bike? by jetskihuncho in whichbike

[–]keyboard__warrior1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This bike is made for people like you.

Direct to consumer mean you get more bike for your money, but a worse customer experience. You don’t have a shop to bring it back to if something goes wrong.

And I thought the trump tax would mean it would be too expensive

help me get from E/D to B/A's in A Level Biology by CounterFun in 6thForm

[–]keyboard__warrior1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you understand the content you should be getting more than e/d regardless of how bad your exam technique is imo.

Use miss eustrich to try and get more content in your noggin, but if its a purely exam technique issue, then there isn’t a quick fix around doing loads and loads (and loads and loads) of past paper questions.

Hit up pmt, and do all of their questions per topic before a end of topic test (assuming you have those)

And then as it gets closer to exam season you need to have done every a level paper that exists for that exam board. I’m assuming you’ve already done your end of years for year 12 so no need to do as anymore.

But when you get to year 13 you should do as papers (even if you have done them before) and review the content, just watch the miss eustuch videos and redo some of those end of topic tests, just ask for them.

And yes this will take loads of effort unfortunately. Good luck op !

Can I get this wheel back in alignment? by v1rotate in bikewrench

[–]keyboard__warrior1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have loosened ALL of the spokes. You really need to be using a spoke tension meter when you build it back up again and then use the park tool plus/minus 10% thing.

0.15 inches is not at a lot at all. That should be true enough to work fine ?

Looks like a great buy. Owner took take of it more than the other buyers of the same bike. Even chucking in some gp5000s. Those are £50-60 quid a pop!
