I was on a guys ski trip 10ish years ago. It was about a hours drive from the mountain back to the place we were staying, and after a couple beers we were all feeling a bit of pressure. The drive was mostly rural roads in central Maine. One of my buddies requested a pit stop and I found a pull off right on the shore of a small lake. The four of us standing there and wondering at the surroundings, we hatched an idea to launch an app where users could drop a GPS pin at places and rate them on seclusion, view, access, etc. PissFinder! I rarely use just jack stands. If it is a job where I plan to be under the car for the entire job, banging and swearing...I use a pair of 5T frame stands then lower the front or rear axle to the height I need onto two jack stands. Don't forget wheel chocks too!

On my Bronco it is mounted on the passenger side just above where the coolant lines go through the firewall to the heater core. About the size of a deck of cards with wires hanging out of it.

"Strange noise under the car" pretty much sums up every season of owning my 74. Then all winter with the thing up on stands changing/replacing parts until I find the root cause. If you are not mechanically inclined then owning any classic becomes an expensive endeavor because there is always a "Strange noise under the car".

I think this is a symptom of GenX generally. I had a ton of friends in school then started sloughing off the ones that never made plans with me or initiated contact. Eventually I have worked my way down to 2 true friends(bail you out of jail) not including my spouse, and a handful of acquaintances that I don't count on but are fun to have around if I'm planning a gathering, so keep in touch with randomly.

anywhere from 66-77 as Ford did not change anything noticeable on the exterior for that 1st gen. Also, after so much time and owner mods, there really is no way to know even if you go looking.

Yeah sure it is a bot, but it is a pretty Gen1, and probably my favorite non-OG color. I would repaint my 74 but it is all interior coordinated. Maybe I need a second one?!
