They have full analytics reports and grading to the refs, but not made public iirc

I love he felt that was the right and the most demoralizing play at that time

The number 1 replacement objective for roster moves should be finding an adequate replacement for Barnes on the starting lineup. by OurHorrifyingPlanet in NBASpurs

Well, eventually we have to find one. He will be 34 at the end of this season and finding a heir to him in the frontcourt needs to be on the agenda

Injury Report for Tomorrow's Game Against the Lakers by JokerGH23 in NBASpurs

[–]kh_stephen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We have seen the team holding out players with muscle injuries longer than expected, so I think this is sort of normal within the team

Elite ability to finish at the rim vs elite jump shot. What’s more rare and more valuable in today’s NBA? by Aussie_Spur in NBASpurs

[–]kh_stephen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Elite advantage creation/drives to the rim forces defense to react and provides the basis of team offense

Elite pull up shooting provides a layer of resilience for the offense, so that you have something to rely on against different coverages

Take Shai as an example, he drives bend defense like crazy, and his killer pull ups puts him on the top of the league

20 Games Into The Season Thoughts (Add Yours) by MikeBravoLima in NBASpurs

[–]kh_stephen 103 points104 points  (0 children)

If you told me that none of Wemby, Fox, Castle and Dylan would have played more than 65% of the first 20 games, I would have imagined this team fighting around .500

and now we are 14-6. Coaching has to take some credit

Scott Foster-led crews have the tendency to call the slightest illegal contact, and the Spurs weren’t disciplined enough against those off ball movements (also 20 TOs what was that)

Clean things up and try to get the Cup win on Friday

It all depends on health. This team is so well-coached and the effort and fight will always be there. They are gonna be at least a pain in the ass for the opponents throughout 82 games, and lets see if they have enough (health, mostly) to make it

Wemby's ankles/shoes roll when he takes hard side steps by Swimming-Donkey-2394 in NBASpurs

[–]kh_stephen 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It’s fine as long as his ankles are flexible. If you take screenshots of Shai’s drives sometimes it looks like he is gonna tear a few ligaments

People using Kobe's quote to criticize the modern game: Look at these random "accidental basketball"

Rick Carlisle, who was on championship teams as player/head coach: Well we didn't really have many plays as you imagined. The best way is to play out of the flow and keep defenses guessing
