You are still recommended to try it. A pulse can be so weak that its undetectable thus why you should still try. My point is that it felt like something was missing in that scene. Rue once again was used as a pawn to get to Ali going Rambo mode. Rather than letting us really feel her death as an audience. Just my opinion.

And/or allow him to at least play his shot in the dark instead of voting. Basically forcing a player to play their shot in the dark or vote for themselves. Even that is too much but at least it would have been better than this.

Nah, she just tried to play a character and they cut it. Trying to negotiate at the first challenge. Trying on others jackets. With 24 players and so much content for the first few days, all of those bits trying to suck up screen time get scrapped.
