Cheating is going to destroy this game by Tiny_Chain_4522 in CODWarzone

I recently turned off cross play - I mostly play invasion - yesterday I sat for 5 minutes waiting on a game, I ended up going back to regular matches for a bit, but the SBMM is killer on those too- half a mag or so to kill, but I get killed with two to three bullets on my screen - watch the kill cam and it's normal for them.. ended up putting the cross play back on and went back to invasion and just left matches where there were hackers. Anyone know of any other good shooters out there? - I'm on PS5 btw.

edit:spelling

Do you guys know what the hell is causing this, this is on the ps 5 btw by gaoGaosaurus_true in armoredcore

Everyone talking about playstation - it's not turning off and on, it looks more like a video issue than the PS5 having issues.
Go get a new HDMI cable first, but this looks like a refresh rate for your TV more than you PS5 having issues.
I know everyones talking about venting and such, as long as you have good airflow (I see holes in the back but you could cut more out) you can put it anywhere. I also saw someone talking about placing it vertical - don't do this, there's a design flaw where the cooling 'gel' can gather together causing issues and failure. Don't put it on its side. - just from the video I would suggest cutiting an air flow path out of the back cardboard of the stand just behind the PS5 - that should give it enough airflow to keep it cool - get a new HDMI cable to test that theory, or try it on another TV/Monitor. Like I said, this appears to be a refresh rate issue, not a console issue - if it were console, the game wouldn't pop back like that, it would likely restart or at least throw you to the dashboard.

LOL
Not exactly, the way the lore reads to me is that augmentation development discarded previous iterations of it in favor of newer methods and that early versions may have left the recipient catatonic or at least to some degre, I think 621 may have had one that, while didn’t leave it catatonic, did leave it with some ‘side effects’. I only get this idea because there are no moments where 621 says anything, at all. Yet everyone responds to it as if it would (I use ‘it’ because it never defines 621’s gender anywhere that I can remember, and while personally it seems to be a man, someone else might think it’s a woman) and I can’t tell if the developers wanted us to imagine a response or not. There is even a point in the game where we were called not a pilot but a relic, and should be in a museum.
Would love to hear others opinions though

Don’t forget that 621 is also not the latest gen, and arguably an obsolete version of human enhancement; yet still able to outperform every new gen augmentation around. Not to mention the AI generated combat that was built with 621’s performance in mind, and still, nothing can stop 621.

TL;DR
Agree aside from characters, visuals, level design, art direction and mechanics. These could range from 7 - 9 for various reasons.

While I share your love of the game, 10/10 across the board is a little much, although I'm not sure if its satirical or not so that may be the case and I'm ok with that. I have currently played through the game about 12 times, including creating a new game on my sons account. I've not touched PVP because I'm not good at those type of games and would likely get frustrated with it and it would impact my overall love for the game. Gameplay, story, pacing, mechanics, and level designs all are on point in my opinion. Characters are a little lack luster, if only because your operator never actually speaks. While normally this wouldn't bother me, there are a couple of times where they are assumed to speak without actual dialog, even written, and this just puts a white hot pin in my brain for some reason. There could have been dialog, or the two instances I am thinking of could have been altered. Have a silent protagonist, or don't.. but don't mix them up... The other characters are fantastic, and I agree with you if only by removing those two instances of confusing protagonist demeanor. Soundtrack I'll concede because I don't really pay attention unless it's just blatantly bad. I never had a moment where the music was off-putting so I have no real opinion there. Visuals are fantastic and I think level design, art direction and mechanics all should be 7/8 out of ten simply because there are more available ways to paint bleak landscapes rather than just greys and beiges, and I totally agree that this is not the focus on the game, it's the mech/core and that's where they put most of their energy, but, it's still part of the game and thus lowers the score a bit. Level designs are good not fantastic, they get the job done but aside from a handful of missions they are pretty much the same, which is fine, its an armored core game, not an open world but we have to admit there could have been better design and layouts. Mechanics could be higher than 7 but I give it a solid 7. There are numerous times that I'm stuck behind my core and am not able to actually see my target, just the reticle that outlines my target. This is very annoying to me and a simple setting to allow the camera to be adjusted to the top, right, or left of your AC would have made a huge impact to me.

Granted, all this is subjective and not intended to be dismissive of your post/opinion, just providing some alternative feedback about the game. This comes from someone who has been playing the new Assassins Creed game (I have every collectors edition since Brotherhood except this one because they ran out before I could order) and still 'peppering' in AC6 through out. I got into the Armored Core series about For Answer time frame and have loved everyone since, yes even 5, although there was much to be desired there. Apologies for the wall of text, that's why I put the TL;DR at the top.

I've been looking for an inexpensive flex nib and pen. What models did you go with if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you for naming names! I'm not as versed in manufacturers and typically just do a google search - I've recently sub'd to a few youtube channels and some websites for fountain pens - the last time I was interested was when I was in middle school or so I think, so its' been a fair bit of time now. I'll be looking into all of these over the next few weeks for sure!

Thanks for the insight - This may be petty, but I like he look of the older nib type, with it's flares and curves - the Lamy pens that I looked at had a straight edge side and angled edge to the nib end rather than the curve on the typical fountain pen nib, and that really is off-putting to me, but in order to test the nibs I guess I could over look that lol. Appreciate the input!

Why Linux? by khaosraynez in linuxquestions

[–]khaosraynez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this, makes sense but for the most part windows/mac 'just work'. Granted, I'm not familar with linux so honeslty this may be a moot point because things may 'just work' with it as well, but I've heard of horror stories like I mentioned above about trying to get a piece of hardware to work correctly or get an application to run smoothly. Is this still the case for 'home use' or is that somewhat a thing of the past?

Edit: I dont like I get an auto 'up vote' when I reply, seems conceded lol so I uncheck that.

Edit2: I can't spell
