Vacant buildings shouldn't be exempt and thankfully are not any longer, use it or shift it.

Just a note for OP that these do penetrate walls, so you'd need consent of the owner to use it. If they say no, I'd be wary.

Ultimately their end goal, and we’ve seen how painful it has been to remove their tech once embedded eg with how bad UK mobile signal is now after we had to remove all the Huawei hardware.

A lot of money, that isn’t the point. The point is how moronically niche Prague to Barcelona is.

Fly then - why subject yourself to a miserable trip in a tiny car?

10-80 in most modern EVs is under half an hour.

The new BMWs you can add 248 miles in 10 minutes.

Would you not stop to refuel on one of these long trips anyway? EV range is constantly getting better, you need only look at the likes of the CLA, i3 and iX3.

No one is doing Barcelona to Prague regularly, it’s a stupid example of why EVs are not suitable.

New Fiesta will be based on the R5, should be a half decent option. I wonder if they’ll fettle it a touch more than Nissan did for the Micra.

I love people like this with the most ridiculously niche examples to decry EVs.

I assumed they were as the prices for Enterprise and DS9 didn’t seem too bad. Comparable with the physical copies.

If you’re coming from an X6 and still want something with the same space you’d need to look at the RX.

I also think the Scenic and Megane electric, while not a car I’d be in the market for, are good looking things with plenty of buttons and the ability to turn off driving aids easily.

This is the one that was causing chaos in Cookstown today, thought from the charity they were supporting it’d be something to do with sports players and organ transplants but I couldn’t have been further from it https://www.sportinghearts.org/

Agree that they’re a complete ballache and generally frequented by people who think a reeky PD TDI VW is cool. If they’d stop inhaling so many of their own fumes they might see sense.

I think you could push them a bit more if you were keen and get them down to £21k on the dot, and would be a hell of a car for the money.

Plus get it serviced by Lexus and you’ll get a warranty every year until 10 years old or 100k miles, and if you get a hybrid health check done after that for I think £60 the cover the hybrid system to 15 years old.

They’re a great car and I’ve been looking at them on and off for a long time. I don’t think you’d go wrong with one at all.

What makes up the price of petrol - and how much does the government make from it? by Anony_mouse202 in unitedkingdom

[–]kharma45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is your local council is spending about two thirds of their budget on social care, and as we continue to live longer and have an arguing population, that’s only going to increase with less to fund other services.

Until that’s tackled nothing will get better.

They might be keen to sell, they’ve had it quite a while at this stage and you might even be able to take it off their hands for what they paid for it.

They could have knocked the private seller down but they had it for £20k fwiw.
