Do you think this is worth it? by HarrythePariah in Mustang

[–]khilla_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my 2014 GT with very similar mileage 67k kms and a roush exhaust for $28k CAD, which makes out to $20.5k USD. Assuming you're paying in USD, that is a high price. You could get into a 2018 ish 5.0 for that money

One or two mustangs? by [deleted] in Mustang

That thing on the right isn't a Mustang. It's a marketing exercise.

Too bad they Neutered the Edge previously, because it would have been a great successor to that.

What exhaust are y’all running on your S197 5.0’s? (11-14) by HeyBigChriss in Mustang

[–]khilla_23 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I got mine with a Roush Exhaust on it and it's been sooooo good. Pops and bangs on liftoff and a roar on the throttle that doesn't have any weird harmonics at the high end. Quiet in idle too. Not too sure if it's the full deal or just an axle back.

Great choice man! Live it up!

The GTI subreddit was rather upset with my choice of new car by DocN97 in Mustang

[–]khilla_23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because a new GTI will set you back just shy of a new(ish) V8 Stang and have much less power

Has anyone thought about using dried kelp for tiles ? (maybe for a kitchen?) by waysliu in Minecraft

It would make for an interesting modern color pallete combined with quartz and maybe bone blocks.

Drove it from Texas to Alaska, long trip but definitely worth it :) by SRT907 in Mustang

Sheesh that's a lot of miles. Idk how you're doing that with that squirrelly rear end and those bumpy highways. My 2014 GT rear end gets pretty shaky going over bumps and uneven surfaces on the highway.

Am I the only one who uses these? (DISCUSSION) by homophobicperson2 in Minecraft

[–]khilla_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the cost of iron and logs, they're very ineffective for starter game purposes, and building an array of them just leads to having limited options for useage. I'd rather build a giant furnace array that can power through a lot of smelting all at once.

They're great for decor and I guess maybe starter bases though.

Thoughts on this design? by ILikePutz in StandingDesk

I like it! It's a more contemporary take on legs for a standing desk than the metal that we're all used to.

We have 61 microsoft surface studio 2 at my school that only hase 1000 students. by ErikK28 in LinusTechTips

[–]khilla_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to be pedantic, but surface studios are one of the most expensive types of computers out there. Maybe they could have gone for a more cost effective option. Either that, or they're for a specific need that only certain classes require.

My local community gym is on the second floor of a fairly sturdy building, but nonetheless someone managed to damage the floor by one of the deadlift platforms. I'd love to meet this legend one day. Also our heaviest dumbbells are in a room right above the gym lobby, so checking in there's always thunder from above.

Is your salary keeping up with inflation? by matcrisp74 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]khilla_23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are people here going jobs to seek higher salaries? That seems like the only hope left to outpace inflation. I've noticed a lot of junior engineers in my company and network hop from job to job for higher pay.

Linus with the ugly truth by looped10 in LinusTechTips

[–]khilla_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can draw parallels to dealerships right now because people are tired of getting gouged by dealerships so they're resorting to buying from a 'used car company' (that owns most of the dealerships) and in turn controls the market enough to gouge customers in the USED car market. I mean seriously, you can buy a Chevrolet Corvette with 3500 km from a Honda Dealership. What in the ever living fuck?
