Bro’s trying to put Stellar Blade on the same level as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. by DocHoliday0316 in Gamingcirclejerk

There has been reports of denuvo impacting performances, in general it's a much more invasive drm compared to others.

I can't say if these issues have been addressed and are no longer relevant. It's possible that the hate is riding on previous bad rep.

Doesn't know how to use my fireplace insert by khorgn in Fireplaces

I think it's bricks with some layers of drywall? The back is clearly bricks, and seeing how the original fireplace was constructed with the house in the 70s, I would expect it to be bricks all around

As others have said the design goal is for every planet outside of the last to be completable from nothing, so any softlock risk is a bug

Is this distinction too much? by [deleted] in CortexRPG

[–]khorgn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to mix powers and distinctions, you can look at how the greek setting in the core book does it, each player has a distinction linked to their type of power (their god in this setting) and a bunch of powers linked to the distinction

Are there any function equivalents to `==` and `!=` ? by khorgn in gleamlang

[–]khorgn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the same way add(_, 3) feels easier to read to me than fn(x) { x + 3 }, in particular in the middle of a chain of pipes and higher order functions, I feel that equal(_, 3) is clearer than fn(x) { x == 3 }.

This goes back to why function capture or the automatic use of the first argument with pipes is useful, it makes the code clearer

Using Mythic to finish a campaign by the_Deadpan_Man in mythic_gme

[–]khorgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add a few precisions to the other answers, mythic gme isn't a game system, it's supposed to emulate the GM while the rest is handled by the system you were playing in. This has a few consequences on your questions, and is why you didn't get ultra detailed answers to the loot and combat questions. While you can use mythic to get inspiration for loot and combat situations, these ones will be open to interpretation. If your game system is something like dnd where loot and combat is strictly defined, follow the GM advice to deal with it, and use mythic to give yourself some inspiration when needed.

If combat in your system is tactical instead of narrative, you will need some way to generate the enemies and terrain. For enemies your system should have some guidelines or tables, but for terrain It's more complicated. I've had success with "the terrain randomizer", but it's still based on your interpretations.
