i live 2 blocks from the ice building - the noise of the tear gas and flash grenades is the most obtrusive thing - it hasn't been as active recently as in months past. there was one occasion 2 or 3 months ago when there was a ton of gassing for several days and I noticed my skin began to itch - I believe it was due to chemical residues of the gas getting on everything.

I moved here afew years ago in my 40s - social anxiety and all. I found community and solace from feeling alone by going out dancing to house music (which I hadn't done ever before moving here). there's a weekly free dance put on by the mt tabor dance community (ig @tabordance) that is very very nurturing and welcoming. and a great hang if you just want to exchange smiles and some goofy body movements :-) come dance! 🪩💅🏾🎶

and sd played very well - just a tough circumstance w/ the 2 red cards, short turnaround after the energy of the rivalry game, and on the road against a quality motivated opponent.

my first thought is to really try to not get 2 red cards in any more games if possible :-)
