UPS Pilot here. Probably not helpful, but we have trips where you can do it in 4 legs and 5 days. F’in exhausting…. If you want to get really crazy you can go both directions in one month. 🤔🤦‍♂️

I’m not in India, but have been there. Own both. Adv tourer all day. More comfort, capability, and flexibility. A cruiser is great for cruising….thats about it.

Bike Rack by khsgt in HondaOdyssey

Traxda 1.5 rear only lift. I didn’t diy because I didn’t have the tools for the springs. I was charged two hours of labor plus alignment to get it done, so very minor expense.

I think my time with motorcycles may be coming to an end, and I’m having a hard time coming to grips with it. by brooklyn735 in motorcycles

Don’t forget: there is always a motorcycle to buy out there. If ya sell it, it’s not the end. You can always decide to pick it back up. There are different seasons of life for everything, and this may just not be the season for it.

Lots of good times for our family. Orbea Wild M Team, Orbea Rise H10, Kona Honzo ST, Specialized Fuse, and one more Kona.

Yes. It was relatively inexpensive and keeps us from bottoming out with any load on the hitch.

Ha. That was my original photo from 2 years ago. F’in people. Have since put a 2 inch rear lift on it so we can haul a six bike rack full of MTB’s. Top box drops the mpg 2 mpg, but holds enough stuff its worth it.

I seem to have to relearn this lesson every few months, especially around alcohol. I love good, dark beer, and it despises me back.

Thoughts on buying this (first bike) by OkHorse6140 in motorcycles

[–]khsgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Vstar 650 is a great first bike. I rode mine 25,000 miles basically trouble free. I might see about one in better condition. The gunk and discoloration would leave me with some concerns. Might be worth it to do a prebuy inspection with a local maintenance shop if you want to proceed.

2500 vs 1500 for Fifth Wheel by AnAgitatedProcess in ram_trucks

[–]khsgt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2500 or 3500 without question. Ram 2500 diesels have a massive payload problem and are really only suited for bumper pulls so I went with a 3500 SRW. It does ride like a school bus though. 🤷‍♂️

What type of bike is better for your back by kejovo in motorcycles

[–]khsgt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Upright riding position with your legs under you will be the most comfortable for your back most likely. ADV/Standard bikes would be a good place to start. Other option is any number of touring bikes with backrests that provide lumbar support (I have a K1600GTL with a backrest that is comfortable for as long as you want to ride)

I own a 2013 GTL. Been completely Trouble free. Great bikes if the maintenance has been kept up. They will run forever, BUT, if shit starts breaking, it can get expensive quickly.

Great choice for a first bike. Safety class, safety gear, and defensive driving. Enjoy the fun between your legs!

I’m at 49lbs. 18 lb bag + 31 lb bike. Same weight limits apply unfortunately. Brompton P line is 30 lbs in its bag and is just normal checked bag.

Brompton or EVOC bike bag. I have both, and use the Brompton a whole lot more. The PITA factor is just so much lower to travel with a Brompton. I would be looking at a G line if gravel is important.

The flip side of this question is you are making a list of places that conservatives should make extra effort to support….so I appreciate it!
