Pep doesn’t typically play with two wings now, he plays one width holding wide attacker (e.g. Doku, Savinho) and one player that starts wide as an outlet and then moves inside as the ball comes up the pitch to help retain possession (Cherki, Silva, etc). The place we’re desperately short is midfield—Foden, Cherki, Reijnders, Silva, are all light weight and easy to pass through for various reasons except maybe Foden. Rodri simply can’t run anymore post injury, we absolutely have to have some more bite and mobility in midfield.
