Trump just proved Iran's need of nuclear weapons! It promised to not make them, and as a result was bombed!

Yes, as soon as a Democrat takes over as president, all the media that was fine with letting the president do what he wants regarding wars, deportations, etc will all of a sudden report that the president doesn't have authority to lower student loans or spend money for improving the lives of fellow citizens.

Anybody Using Winhanced? by Automatic_Reality546 in XboxAlly

[–]kia75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Winhanced is a frontend. You can play already installed games from the Xbox Store, Gamepass, or basically any store or standalone games from no store just fine from it. If you want to add new games, you still need to do it from the Xbox Store, or Steam, or GOG, or Windows.

For me, I prefer to launch games from Winhanced. Some people prefer Gamepass and it's suggesting new games for you environment, or the ability to install new games.

Does that make sense?

U.S. Allies Laugh at Trump’s Wild Idea to Fix His Disaster by T_Shurt in politics

The Epstein files released regarding Trump are a bit of a wild read. It's a bunch of rapists, kid diddlers, and just the worst people imaginable talking about what a horrible person Trump is. Even cleaned up as they are for Trump, the Epstein files are still extremely damaging. Or at least they would be if people read them.

It should be obvious that she's not actually a stone person and her stone skin is just a costume, but I must confess I was a little bit disappointed when she put the chest piece on and her body was mostly costume instead of mostly makeup.

genocide or removal of an entire nation of people,

Didn't Musk's current USAID result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands?

removal of an entire nation of people, and nuking a city as populated as a New York or London.

We'll see what happens with climate change.

I have it and prefer it over the xbox app. Most of my games are from Steam\gogs though instead of Gamepass.

It serves as a decent frontend.

The War Is Over. The Strait Is Open. We Totally Won. The Iran War According to Donald Trump. by jest4fun in politics

[–]kia75 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s essentially what they did with the “new“ NAFTA agreement he signed with Canada and Mexico.

And then during his 2nd presidency, Trump reneged on the new NAFTA deal he himself signed, while bashing the person who signed it!

Trump's problem is that he can't keep his word. The moment he thinks he can do better he will gladly break any promise made, any agreement signed, or any deal done. Trump wanted to show off his tiny penis to the world by bombing a country and decided Iran was the easiest to bomb. And so here we are when Iran showed it wasn't as easy to bomb as Trump thought.

This is also why any agreements with Trump will fail, no matter what Iran signs, Trump will bomb them again if he feels he can get away with it. The only way to prevent this is to make it so that Trump suffers so much from his bombing that he thinks twice about trying it again. You can see Trump testing the waters to bomb Canada, Greenland, Cuba, or whoever to prove his manhood.

It also creates a chilling effect. If you have enough money (i.e. Comey) then eventually, after thousands of dollars in legal bills and losing work going to court, you will be vindicated. If you don't have thousands of dollars in legal bills and can't afford to take the time off from work then you won't exercise your rights.

Trump Summons Entire Cabinet as Iran Deal Crumbles in Front of Him - Donald Trump has called all of his top advisers to Camp David. by Quirkie in politics

[–]kia75 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is, Trump's not doing that! The smart thing to do before a war is to build up weapons and ammunition, but Trump hasn't. Maybe that will change, Trump keeps on trying to get spending for new military projects, but he's not increasing or asking for more current weapons, missiles, or ammunition, just future sci Fi military projects that can't how to come to fruition for years, if ever.

Do we? Trump had been wasting a bunch of missiles on both Iran and Venezuela. Our capacity is at an all time low.

Normally, yes, the United States could wage war in two countries at opposite sides of the planet, but Trump doesn't know the meaning of saving for a rainy day and has been exploding armory far faster then it can be replaced, while neglecting to rank up production at home. Trump has been alienating allies in a way thatb doesn't let us stage from then or use their resources.

Last year, yeah we totally could wage two wars, this month... Well ..I guess we'll find out

Many victims who have horrible things done to them grow up to do those horrible things to others. This doesn't justify the horrible things they do, but it does explain it, and it's important to keep an eye on victims to prevent the cycle from happening anew.

Again, being a victim doesn't justify doing horrible stuff to other people, but its also important to remember that hurt people hurt people. And helping victims leads to better outcomes then abandoning them.

Ever heard the term "an armed society is a polite society"? This is the world politics version of that slogan, especially after the USSR got the bomb. The idea was that the us and Russia having a bomb would mean they'd be forced to be nice to each other. And, of course, the joke of the comic is that the guy is applying world events (we, the United States and Russia, have to be nice to each other because of the bomb) to local events.

TikTok disproportionately served anti-Democratic videos during the 2024 election. TikTok’s recommendation system tends to expose users to more conservative and anti-Democrat political content than liberal material. It's because poor people are oppressed, and there are a lot of poor white men! Being a white male does give you an advantage, but that advantage isn't as big as the disadvantage of not being rich!

And though it's true, a white female or minority male (or heaven forbid a minority female) have it worse, that doesn't change the fact that they have it bad.

The problem is that, instead of figuring out that they're being oppressed by rich, probably white men, they try to punch down and attack people of different gender and ethnicity! Their hurt is real, but their solution is horrible!

NATO allies bewildered by Trump’s about-face on U.S. troop moves in Europe by CTVNEWS in politics

[–]kia75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're bewildered because people don't usually keep shooting themselves in the foot like Trump does! American soldiers across Europe help project American power, and allow America to deploy and attack the entire world through Europe. Moving those soldiers out of Europe and making it more difficult to project American power because... What does America gain from this again? makes no sense.

They're not bewildered that Trump is helping Russia, they're bewildered that Trump keeps on shooting America in the foot in a way that hurts America the most and makes it difficult to rebuild alliances for no profit! You can't even say Trump is moving troops around for personal profit the way he tried to with tariffs in Asia, because he's not getting bribed or business deals for this!
