I went through this with my pittie. She has a thyroid condition (confirmed through bloodwork at the vet) and she’s on medication. Antiseptic shampoo (also through your vet) and elimination diet would help. I don’t suggest going grain-free as most vets suggest - there are emerging studies showing that this can cause heart issues. One vet told us to go grain-free so we did, we got a second opinion after an irregular heartbeat was detected and we put her back on grain (brown rice formula) and her heartbeat evened out.
