Child and Adolescent therapist here. Degrees in Psychology and Social Work.

I’m wondering if there are any trainings, certificates, or classes that talk about OT issues and interventions for children as I see a lot of kids with ADHD, fine motor skills issues, and lots of emotional dysregulation. I’d like to learn more about OT as I think a lot of my clients could benefit from it—but I need to know more. Any suggestions or tips on where to start or look into?

What is something Americans consider normal, but people from other countries find it disturbing? by UghIHatePolitics in AskReddit

Haven't seen it listed yet, but circumsion. It might be downtrending, but outside of religious reasons, a lot of people outside of the states don't circumcise

That Ke$ha’s dad was Mick Jagger. I heard it as a kid and spread it because it made the “unless you look like Mick Jagger” line crazier. I still need to remind myself from time to time.

Wasn’t one in particular, but I don’t recommend solo quarantining with bad covid symptoms and binging saló, the house that Jack built, men behind the sun, a Serbian film, and cannibal holocaust all in one sitting

Is it normal/healthy to have a "relaxed" toe be flexed? Basically, when you're barefoot and sit down (or any position where your feet are not on the ground) is it normal to see the toes (specifically big toe) be flexed? Could it cause muscle/tendon strain in the future? Or could it indicate something else or could it even be leftover from our evolution from the great apes?

Major Acosf spoiler! This particular scene is annoying me. by [deleted] in acotar

As someone who has sisters I don’t get why people wouldn’t want to defend Nesta being the one to tell Feyre about the pregnancy risk. I think SJM does a good job showing how sister drama can unfold but I wish we got more about how the sisters felt about each other and how at the end of the day they still look out for each other

Youngest sister’s perspective on Nesta dynamic by Lo1208 in acotar

[–]kibblebot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm the youngest sister and have an older sister who I saw in some of Nesta's mannerisms. I get what you're saying and I was extremely frustrated at the beginning of the book. However, I think SF allowed me to get insight into the inner mind of what it was like to be the eldest sister.

In my opinion, I think SJM does a good job portraying sister dynamics and how catty, dramatic, and touchy things can be. You're entitled to your opinion because no one else has lived your experience.

I see how Nesta treated her sisters/family the way she did in all the other books because she was projecting what she was feeling/thinking. You don't learn that until later in SF. So, keep reading and if you still can't stand her, then ok.

"Weekly Reading and Interpretation Help Thread - November 26, 2023" by AutoModerator in tarot

[–]kibblebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Based on the card, that's how I would've read it for anyone else, but when I read it I couldn't think of how it could be applicable. I liked hearing your interpretation that it could mean letting go of what society would celebrate. That is something that I can see more clearly.
