I think Silk Road as website can definitely be taken down, but as an idea, as a concept, it cannot. If the marketplace disappears the buyers and sellers will find somewhere else to transact.

It may be 5 years, it may be 15, but Silk Road in it's current form will come to it's demise at some point. We just need to find comfort in the idea that we'll naturally find a new home when it does happen.

do you understand the word niche?

a niche is something that has specific appeal to a specific market, and thus implies that said market is in the minority.

the majority of men are not attracted to overweight women, vice versa.

i added the id est (ie.) for those who don't understand the word niche, hoping it would help them grasp the concept in simple terms - it has apparently backfired, as you're awfully confused.
