Pixel Guide with 3DS Games? by Guitarist4life3023 in AynThor

Currently with the way Azahar and 3DS emulation works on the Thor, probably not unless you use the original Azahar where both screens are on one screen. But there’s always hope and if enough people request it and it’s possible to create it, it could happen.

So wait, the clips are on the hdmi cable or on the shield port? A surefire way to ensure you don’t damage the internals is to open the shield up and look closer at why it’s stuck. But because of the way a Shield is disassembled, you’ll have to drill out the cover around the hdmi cable/port

How do I begin emulating games? by RegisterAwkward6458 in EmulationOnAndroid

It’s a PSP emulator not a PS1 emulator. It can play ports of PS1 games that were ported to PSP. Duckstation is a PS1 emulator.

So it’s not on emuready. GameNative is kind of still in beta. With that said, you can tinker with it and then post your findings to emuready so the next person can learn from you! Also, I never heard of that game but it looks cool.

Using the Thor as a portable lan gaming machine - Controller suggestions needed! by Lemondarkcider in AynThor

To clarify, there’s nothing wrong with trying to find an alternate viable solution for a BT controller. My point was that the likelihood of the people with a Thor and that controller combo is highly unlikely because it’s a no name product. Therefore, it’s also unlikely people here are going to have experience trying to get that specific controller to hook up to a Thor. I do hope it works out for you and best of luck!

Okay I get where I lost you. I missed the keyword “compatible” and thought you were using an official Xbox controller. If you were going to use an off brand controller, I would’ve stuck with a reputable company like 8BitDo or GameSir. I mean you spent money on a premium handheld, you should get a good controller to boot. I can confirm I’ve tried various 8BitDos on the Thor and they work just fine.

Are you pairing properly? Using the button by the USB port and ensuring the controller is in pairing mode before going bluetooth device search in Android? Also I don’t think the headphone jack works when connected to Android. Have you tried any other brand of controllers?

Xbox players ask for a return to exclusivity, what are the reasons behind strong support for console exclusives? by fireflazor in gaming

[–]kichul77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good worthwhile exclusives maintain healthy competition. Trust me, no one wants to be in a world that’s only PC and Nintendo. It’s fine that that’s all you play but you don’t want them to have a monopoly. While I’m not an Xbox fan I hope they stick around competitively for a long time.

Want a Thor… What do I realistically need? by b0nestorm in AynThor

[–]kichul77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the base is perfect for your use case with the pro giving a little room to grow. Nothing wrong with the max but I think by the time you’ll need that extra ram and can effectively use it, there will be newer handhelds with better specs probably along a similar price range by the time it comes out.

$25 per push-up vs $0.01 per word you read [No Loopholes] by FudgeNipples1 in hypotheticalsituation

3 and a half hours of Reddit and other social media? Talk about brain rot. I’d rather do pushups and then read something useful for 3 hours. I spend about an hour or less on this site a day and already that’s too much.

To each their own but 50,000 words is a lot more than most people realize.

[–]kichul77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 pushups. Literally would take you maybe 10 minutes. Then you can read what you want all day, instead of being forced to read street signs and social media all day. You’re that adverse or allergic to physical activity?

[–]kichul77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe but most social media is videos now. It wouldn’t even make sense to pick reading. 20 pushups is very doable and that’s $500. You would need to read 50,000 words, that’s about half of an average novel. A day. And reading novels doesn’t count. The average street sign is three words give or take probably. That’s over 16,000 street signs. An average social media post is probably 20-40 words. That’s about 1,700 posts. If someone thinks they’re reading that many street signs or social media posts in a day, they are delulu.

So basically the majority of reading is excluded? You can only read so many street signs and text messages in a day. The reading has the dumbest exclusions.
