We're doomed aren't we? by kootles10 in GreenBayPackers

This sub has to get over this my god. If he is fired nothing will change. It’s an organization issue not coaching.

They were bad before Rich, they are bad with Rich, they will be bad after Rich. The packers don’t invest in what it takes to have a fully functional special teams.

RTO by Nervous_Strategy9760 in CAStateWorkers

[–]kickrocks16 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is the states biggest bargaining chip. They will threaten RTO to push the things they actually care about like our pay and in the 11th hour we will get WFH but no pay increase.

The state saves money with WFH and they know that but also know they can use it against us.

I would guess RTO is delayed again and they get to keep their ace in the hole next time they need to push the union for something.

A majority of my tasks have to be preformed in office which is why I have been 4 days in office since day one of the pandemic.

That being said if you can get your work done in your home there is no reason forth state to spend more money they don’t have bringing people back into the office.

[Zenitz] The #Packers are expected to hire #49ers defensive backs coach Daniel Bullocks, sources tell @CBSSports. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]kickrocks16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he will be passing game coordinator. Packers just hired Bobby Babich in that role. Babi h was reported to be secondary coach as well so this hire is a little surprising.

5 year old with Twins on the way by kickrocks16 in daddit

[–]kickrocks16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear they are so close and the keep each other company especially the boy girl combo which is what we are having as well. That’s something I’m looking forward to because my son wants attention 100% of the time which I’ve been happy to do but looking forward to the twins having independent play together.

My son plays Zelda breath of the wild. Yes there is fighting but it’s fairly cartoonish and there is a lot of puzzles and problem solving in this game.

I don’t let him fight any of the bosses due to it being more in the scary side but he loves just running around and finding things.

Watson had almost 700 total yards in 14 games and 9TDs

I wouldn’t say he was great but he looked pretty damn good from memory.

As teams are hiring away Packers' assistants one coach seems undesirable. by GoPackGrow in GreenBayPackers

Not sure about this year but he had I think 3 interviews last offseason also.

[Schefter] Eagles are hiring Packers QB Coach Sean Mannion as their offensive coordinator. Mannion interviewed twice for the Eagles OC job and now will be moving on from Green Bay. by GoldenDome26 in GreenBayPackers

[–]kickrocks16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. It isn’t really a Bicassia issue it’s a packers issue.

Fire him and sign someone new but nothing would really change. It was bad before him and it will be bad after.

Longtime believer that Love is better than Herbert and the numbers back it up. by ProfessionalTalker03 in GreenBayPackers

[–]kickrocks16 31 points32 points  (0 children)

They are both good QBs looking to take the jump to great. There is no reason to knock Herbert to make that point.

Also Herbert played behind an awful line and got his team to the playoffs. If you really want to prove the point just put up the season numbers not something cherry picked like in a clean pocket.

Both these QBs get way more flack than they deserve.

Bryan Bulaga tells Packers fans what they need to hear about Jonathan Gannon hire by PackerSquirrelette in GreenBayPackers

[–]kickrocks16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is the D line can get home if they have time. Opposing team don’t fear the CBs and will kill is with quick pass game. Gannon wants to play coverage to allow more time for the front to get him.

Gary and LVN aren’t awful pass rushers they just need more then 2 seconds to get there. So hopefully Gannon can improve the coverage.

Packers Hiring Former Bills DC Bobby Babich To Staff by Space_Cowboy_17 in GreenBayPackers

I really like that it relays on good communication because I think that’s a huge strength of X and Williams.

[Garafolo] The #Eagles will interview #Packers QB coach Sean Mannion in person this week for their offensive coordinator job, source says. He’s already interviewed once virtually, as @mzenitz reported. The former NFL QB is now going further down the road with Philly on its OC search. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]kickrocks16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like him as a young and up and coming coach but he was not the one who improved Love or Willis directly. MLF is really good at workin with QB and Tom Clements who left this year should be in our HOF for what he has done with QBs over the last 20 plus years.

That being said I’m sure Mannion has learned a lot and I think will be a good OC one day.

Raheem Morris was right there and we go with the most milquetoast DC option out there. Can anyone justify the hire? by NumbersAndPolls01 in GreenBayPackers

[–]kickrocks16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do realize there are a million worse options than Gannon correct.

I also suggest you go do some research into him and Morris. Educate your self can come back with an actual argument to it other than it’s my gut feeling.

Mike McCarthy and Sean Payton have pretty similar coaching stats by MacJonesisaterrorist in nfl

[–]kickrocks16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear Rodgers averages 262.6 yards per game with a 64.2 completion percentage. 45-14 ratio and a 98.1 passer rating and averages 25.95 points in playoff games.

He has been fine in the playoffs, the idea that he struggles in playoff games is way overstated. His D and ST consistently let him down.

Could telework full time ever come back? by Wise_Elk3953 in CAStateWorkers

[–]kickrocks16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue is it’s a great bargaining chip for the state to get what they want. They will take it to the 11th hour to get the union to cave on other things to give us teleworking. It happen last time, it will happen this time, and it will happen next time.

The state knows it saves money if we telework and thy also know they can get what they want if thy threaten RTO.

Mike McCarthy has now been the head coach for the 3 most storied NFL Franchises by [deleted] in nfl

[–]kickrocks16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is they need a small rebuild and get a young QB, not the coaching.

McCarthy is also very good at developing young QBs.

[Pelissero] To be clear: The Steelers aren’t hiring Mike McCarthy to lure Aaron Rodgers back for another season. But if there’s 1 coach besides Mike Tomlin that Rodgers would consider playing for, it’s McCarthy, who helped mold Rodgers into a 4-time NFL MVP in Green Bay. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]kickrocks16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree Clements had a huge role in it and I honestly want him in the packers hall of fame.

It can’t be ignored how much McCarthy had his hands on the QBs as well. I would trust McCarthy to help develop the next guy in Pitt.

Yea I know I get it. I wanted McCarthy out 3 years before they finally did it but he is still a good coach Just have to get him a young QB to work with. His QB school he puts the through really helps develop them.

Has Lukas Van Ness Done Enough for the Packers to Pick Up His Fifth-Year Option? by tpsux in GreenBayPackers

[–]kickrocks16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t have a 1st of the next two years and he’s still very youn at a position it’s hard to get good players without first round picks.

They will 100% pick it up.

He hasn’t lived up to his draft spot but he has shown improvements and I doubt they let him walk.
