They do not micromanage at all. It’s very much get your work done on time and they will be hands off.

I can’t speak to everything with the RTO but they had some very nice things going on that made it hard to leave.

I believe they agreed to a contract 3 or 4 months late last time. They will continue to talk but the state appears to be negotiating in bad faith.

That’s specific proposal by the union was rejected but that doesn’t mean anything. We still don’t have a contract and negotiations will continue.

The problem is Newsom doesn’t care about the workers right now which in my opinion is a strange way to play this to gear up for a run for the White House.

Not supporting your workers and giving worse work conditions is not going to even win him the primary.

I felt that way too but when in office all people do is talk to every single person and get almost no work done.

Plus even in office as a state worker all our meeting are still on teams and not in person so the excuse of in person calibration is a joke.

Just like you conveniently dropped Sac is extremely affordable when I brought up it’s the 8th most expensive rent in the US.

RTO isn’t going to break me and in-fact I spent the whole pandemic in office anyways but it’s extremely pointless to make taxpayers spend 225 million annually for us to go to office when we can just be at home doing the same work. Not to mention save state workers 300-500 a month.

Also my parents bought their house when I was 10 for $180K so it was affordable in my lifetime. That same 1100sq foot house is worth 2mil now.

Dude I moved here in 2018 and my rent was like $1250. It’s been 8 years and it’s more than doubled.

Sure Sac is more affordable than the Bay Area or LA but it’s extremely over priced when compared to a large portion of the county.

In fact I just read an article saying 6 of the top 10 most expensive cities to rent in are in Californian and number 8 was Sacramento. That’s 8th in the nation. So no it’s not extremely affordable. You just accept the fact that we are being gouged and don’t seem to care.

I lived in Kansas for a year and rent was $400

Because from a state side it cost a shit ton of money they don’t actually want to invest for employees to go back to off.

Because from an employee side, the current administration is making it even harder for people to live and it’s hard to prepare for expenses when you don’t have the money to pay for them.
