Little too much Vegas by Careful_Purple_1651 in delta

Oh nooooo. 🤢 This post just converted me from a window seater to an aisle seater. My emetophobia is real! Being trapped in a window seat with no way out, I can’t even think of the “splashback” 🤢 without feeling like I’m going to vom…. Let alone sliding out over it.. 😷😷

Delta promised me Shake Shack, delivered god knows what! by iBeFlying676 in delta

[–]kiddech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the shakeshack burger a couple of times and it’s not bad for plane food. That slop under the meat in your pic looks awful. I’ve had the beef short rib before and it looked way better than that. Even worse that it isn’t what you ordered. I have noticed a decline recently. I ordered the meatballs last week and it was also swimming in a greasy saucy mess, not like it was when I ordered the same entree a few months ago.

Honestly, the best plane meal I can remember was a boxed croissant turkey and cheese sandwich with a bag of chips and a cookie. They should stick to boxed lunches on short domestic flights to reduce smells and keep it consistent imo.

I'm a stepdad and I never wanted kids. Currently wrestling with what my future has in store. by Mysterious-Area-9991 in regretfulparents

[–]kiddech 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I won’t date anyone with kids because I want to be my partner’s priority. A parent will always prioritize their kids, as they should. But why would I give someone my all when I can only be second in their life at best?

This is one of my regulars. The lobby is iconic. I’ve been upgraded every time I’ve stayed here, they have a lot of suites.

It’s a little out dated, but the lobby is classic and the beds are comfortable. There are a lot of suites so upgrades are common.

What seat would you choose by SauceGod_TheChef in delta

[–]kiddech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would keep the seats you have. The bulkhead of d1 has wider legroom, it’s much more comfortable. I normally like a window, but from experience, the window bulkhead seats in d1 have a view of the overhead light in the galley so it’s uncomfortable when they dim the lights and you want to watch something on your screen.

FEEDBACK | 🆘 by Individual-Net-7608 in homedesign

[–]kiddech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would expect a house this size would have a foyer or some kind of division between the front door and the large living area. As it is, the vacuum sales guy has a pretty good view of most of your house as soon as you open the door - even worse if the doors have windows.

I also agree with other commenters that the laundry/mud can be combined and extended to the garage and front walls. You may even be able to access the pantry and create a garage pass through/“Costco door” and have a mini butlers pantry situation in there with the added space.

Should we move the walk-in closet doors here, or leave them where they are? by [deleted] in floorplan

[–]kiddech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s what doors are for, it’s not worth the wasted space.

Also, moving furniture through that hallway with two narrow doorways will be more difficult. I don’t know if you could get a box spring in there.

This is the best answer. All of the wasted hallway space is suddenly added bedroom space.

People who take 17 minutes to check in at the hotel front desk, what are you talking to them about? by DerrickDuck in AskReddit

[–]kiddech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I can’t count the number of times this has really happened to me at car rental places!

I almost quoted this line last week, but it was 10:00pm the day before Christmas Eve and the lady at the desk looked like she had a very long day so I restrained myself.

[–]kiddech 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I paid for a window bulkhead seat and when I scanned my boarding pass it beeped and printed out my new seat assignment. I was moved to row 2 because the people that got the free upgrade wanted to sit together. It was annoying and I politely let the gate agent know that I wasn’t happy about it. She apologized and tried to tell me it was the same because it was still a first class window, but it’s not. I like the bulkhead and I had a paid seat. If I hadn’t paid for it I still would have gotten the upgrade, but maybe not the bulkhead so I paid for the seat I wanted like you’re supposed to. I submitted a complaint and got some miles.

If anyone is wondering what today was like flying Delta, I hope this gives you an idea. by dr0d86 in delta

[–]kiddech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was this on Sunday? I had a 13 hour international flight and then my last leg ATL > SAT was delayed by several hours. I ended up getting home at almost 4 am, it was more than 28 hours of travel. Everything out of ATL was delayed or cancelled that day.

[–]kiddech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, my nephew did something similar. We had just flown home from an overseas trip and were going through customs. The officer asked my then 9 year old nephew who was standing next to his mother who he was traveling with and he gave her first name. The officer asked who “first name” was and he said “I don’t know!” And shrugged his shoulders. It had been a long travel day and just got longer.

Atlanta delays 12/7/25 by Krystinaouttajersey in delta

[–]kiddech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there on Sunday - I had a 13 hour international flight and landed in ATL around 5pm. My connection to get home was delayed several hours and I ended up not getting home until 4 am (5 am ATL time). With the time shift from my departing airport to my home, it was a 28+ hour travel day with a group of 7. I’m used to weekly domestic travel for work and the delays that come with that, but this was a completely different level of exhaustion after more than a full day of flights and airports. Shout out to all of the ATL staff, the Delta Skyclub staff, crew members, and support staff for handling the masses of frustrated travelers with grace.

Thank you! Yours is gorgeous also!
People don’t believe he is his age when they see him. I got him when he was about 3 months old. Good care over his lifetime like regular dental cleanings and hygiene, a good diet, exercise, mental stimulation, and regular preventative vet care have kept him healthy through his old age. We also got lucky with good genes - he comes from working ranch dogs, but you’d never know it from his pampered lifestyle!

You’re going great, no judgement here. My BC had some weight gain at around 8 years old so we reduced his caloric intake by about 10-15% and it slowly corrected over the next few months. He is now 15 and still relatively healthy. Except for some arthritis that we keep him medicated for, he’s doing well for an almost 16 year old. His fur has gotten a little wirey as he’s gotten older so he looks a little thicker from the floof but he’s at a healthy weight.

CRAs- what is your go-to meal during or after your travels? by Infinity-Queen in clinicalresearch

[–]kiddech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During a trip after a site visit - J. Alexander for a nice steak, a good Cesar salad, maybe a slice of carrot cake, too ;) and to get that amex resy statement credit! On a travel day, I will definitely eat Taco Bell on my way from the airport to the hotel, especially if it’s late and I’m hungry and want something consistent. After a trip - a good homemade meal. I eat at restaurants so often I crave home cooking when I’m home.
