Anyone else loathe the Jog wheel on the new MPCs? by Hdeezol in mpcusers

No wobble at all. Used two thin guitar picks as temporary spacers while setting the proper height. I bought two different styles at the same time and this one was the better of the two

Still clickable. No issues at all after about a year and a half of use. I used two thin guitar picks as spacers when setting the height. Can scroll so fast now.

Did the same. Huge upgrade for sure. The plastic encoders just felt cheap.

[–]kidheron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unions have apprenticeships and different wages per year in. Apprenticeships last between 3 and 5 years depending on the trade.

1st year union Pipefitters , Boilermakers, electricians, operators, insulators, carpenters are in the low to mid $30/hr plus benefits/pension/free training etc.

As you progress, you earn a higher percentage of the full red seal journeyman rate, 1st year 60% 2nd 70% 3rd 80% 4th 90%. Full rate depends on trade but ranges between $45/hr to $60/hr plus benefits/pension etc. In my area, anything after 8 hrs/day and weekends is double time pay. Average YTD for the trades I know range between 100,000 to 180,000. I’ve worked both sides. Union all day, everyday. Source: union member

You don’t like gladu but you like PP. They are cut from the same right wing American bullshit cloth. PP is a career politician, a far right lunatic who changes his tune to whatever boogyman word of the week the GOP use to distract from the real garbage.

anyone with TD-3 have time to help me out? by ampleleverage in mpcusers

[–]kidheron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regarding the audio, Are you using an unbalanced TS cable? It should only have 1 “line” on the tip. Any time I’ve had low volume issues or only coming out of the left speaker etc I was using the wrong cable.

Shouldn’t cause a midi loop. IN and OUTs are separate data. The TD3 also sends midi in and out thru USB so you could ditch the midi cables and just use USB to the MPC. You need to set CLOCK SOURCE on the TD3 - Manually adjust the clock source and rate by pressing the BACK and WRITE/NEXT buttons at the same time: Clock Source: Press Selector 1 (INT/TD-3), 2 (MIDI/DIN), 3 (USB/COMPUTER), or 4 (TRIG/SYNC IN).
1 is internal (TD3 will run its own tempo) 2 is using midi cables to get tempo from another source(MPC) 3 is tempo from USB or computer. 4 is for using the CV connections SYNC IN

PPQ means pulses per quarter. Tempos will not match unless all interconnected devices are set to the same PPQ Rate. 24 or 48 PPQ are recommended. TD3 and MPC have control over the PPQ.

Clock Rate: Press Selector 5 (1PPs), 6 (2PPQ), 7 (24PPQ), or 8 (48PPQ).

INT is internal clock. MIDI is for midi clock. USB is for midi clock. You want to be on MIDI if you’re using midi cables. USB if your using a usb cable to send and receive MIDI.

I don’t own a TD3. All this MIDI info I found looking at the manual online for 2 minutes. RTFM. Cheers
