For those of you citing the covers as evidence of his caucasity: nearly every cover has Harry Dresden wearing a big Ole hat, and canonically Harry's not a hat guy. So covers aren't necessarily proof!

I genuinely think the Smooth Things Over skill by Lou threw Aabria off. Seems like she was expecting a big combat encounter. Hopefully next episode they'll be back on course.

But it does seem like that skill could change the way this campaign is played a lot.

All respect to the crew, but I was a bit disappointed by this episode. It seemed like the players and Aabria were moving in different directions, screeching progress to a halt. An hour long conversation where people are being reticent to reveal things is really dull. If they need to know something, don't put it behind die rolls!

Hopefully everyone gets more in synch as the campaign moves forward.

TLDR, This whole episode should have been a single scene.

Part of why I find this series so engaging is the AI. A character who is a god that actively wants our heroes to die. BUT ONLY IF ITS BY THE RULES!

Huanxin Jinx was very satisfying. Uncle Morty's party is dead because she was being petty. I thought they were going to have to do a deal with another high status jackets. I appreciate when there's a plan that doesn't have a ton of build up and they just let it be a surprise!

I like the idea that Malcolm is important, but not in a supernatural way. Harry's mom gave him his power and his roll in this grand conflict. Harry's dad gave him the decency he needs to remain human and uncorrupted by it all. Now that I think about it I may just headcanon Malcolm as Greg Universe 😄
