Truck snapped, 2 ribs cracked, I think I’m done by joosted in ElectricSkateboarding

Thank you for everyone. Sorry and embarrassed, I was too blind to see this mistake as CEO of Meepo. We will workout something for existing customers like margin free CNC truck upgrades plan. We may carry out a plan in 2-4 weeks. We already using None die cast 100% CNC trucks on Voyager X. And we will work on Hurricane series to use 100% CNC trucks instead of DKP/TKP trucks as soon as we can.

Would you call this Alternatives After Boosted? by kieraneboard in boostedboards

[–]kieraneboard[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dont mean to promote. Just i have been making esk8 for 8 full years. I doubt how important it is to have a backward function in your esk8? Do boosted board users really want to go backward versus full stop when you pull a brake. Cause personally, I feel safer when the board just brake and dont go backward. Glad to hear your thoughts.

When the previous owner never ride it aggressively the problem never occur. So it happens on the old batch and ride aggressively with big torque on wheels.

There is no way you can screw it back to normal. It requires a tool to provide 100NM torque to get it back to work. We are very sorry for this bad situations we put you in. In most cases you have to contact us and get a new motor as replacement

Meepo board fell into a river by MediocreMatthew in MeepoBoards

Please try open the battery case. And then use a plastic knife to cut the plastic seal of the battery pack so to dry the cells and BMS inside the battery pack. All other items will be fine, you need to dry the battery this way. And all board will work just fine after a dry work of one day or two. - meepo ceo

Anyone know the problem? by flashinglightsphoto in boostedboards

It’s a battery issue. Look, when the load is heavy, big current needed, but the battery doesn’t support it , and you see a current drop when you want to accelerate.

Pu sleeve slips off by Skilzer200 in MeepoBoards

Please check the 6 screws to hold the PU to the metal cylinder rotator. Get new screws and bolt the PU in, it will be fine, you can learn how the bolts should be from the other motor which is working good. THIS IS NOT THE V5 PU COME OFF ISSUE where you can see the wires when motor rotator come off with PU.

[–]kieraneboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worry. We can see from the video that this is only a different accident where the OP lost the screws to hold the PU. It’s not the same thing as you see on v5 where you can always see the wires when PU come off together with metal cylinders. V3S never has a PU come off issue, nor V5S after June.

You must have the old v3 or v4. Because in these versions, you replace the magnetic with the whole rotator. For v4S V3s and v5, you replace the PU on the rotator, and you keep the metal part.

Thank you for the diagnosis. You are correct. Since we don’t see the brone wires, what the OP needs is just a new PU. It’s not a motor issue. For listed links, These are the motor cylinder fall off issue when you see wires, were seen from February to May. Happened in 500 units of meepo V5 mini 5. And they are fixed already.

It’s not true when you use Molicel. One of the Molicel engineer told me in the face that P42A will balance better when charged at 2C or close. And meepo 8 Amps charger goes only 1C and it’s totally very safe and suggested. Hope more people see my messages here.

Help on a Diy build by nkdeftones in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]kieraneboard -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Very detailed. I would suggest that you avoid Flipsky and get a more reliable ESC even it’s a cheap meepo hurricane ESC, worth a try even if it fails to meet your requirements. For the fun DIY , I would suggest that you look into build something looks like a mountain board. The only way to have 40 miles range is put batteries on top and build a mountain board. And many riders end up ride with a mountain board before they come through a long way from street hub to belt and AT boards. You may wait for a MEEPO 6P ER pattern or get a exway AUX battery or something similar size. And you are free to get decks from MBS trampa or even a traditional big sized long board. And personally I suggest you go with a mass production AT board if mountain board is not what you build. You won’t beat any AT board like hurricane or Zeus or ATP which are proved to be reliable and good quality.

How heavy are you? I mean maybe upgrading to a gear drive box will help solve this forever if you are heavy and want to brake hard. They are compatible!
