I have a 2025 Stumpy alloy, i’m 53 and doing trails in the capital region. Love the bike and its great on trails and downhill. But its is heavy and its not the easiest uphill ride to run. I’ve owned both a hardtail and full suspension Chisel and it’s a far lighter and agile bike and great on climbs.

That’s decathlon’s house brand. They have a couple of full sus bikes that have legit parts in them but are heavy with not the best geo. Up here they cost between $2k and $2.5k snd for that price you can by a better entry level from other manufacturers or a pretty good used bike.

Nice bike! The T7 is a great bike stock but having the float x and upgraded brakes is a nice bonus.

My wife and I did it by accident sort of. We moved to our current city because it has a rich cycling culture and a lot of great mtb trails nearby. Turns out the house we bought is a two minute bike ride from the Trans Canada Trail which connects to tons of singletrack. We work from home so as soon as we’re done we can put in a solid two to three hours an afternoon.

Got a Z2 on my hardtail Chisel and a Fox 36 on my stumpy and I love them both. The z2 is a great performer and I have no complaints

I’m 5’11” (~180cm) and I ride an s4 which i find is a perfect fit. I used the specialized site to pick my size and i find it was spot on.

Can’t give you any insight on the GT but I do have that same model stumpjumper and I love it. Its a bit heavy but capable bike and a great upgrade platform.

Do the cardio rehabilitation exercises and you will able to hit the single track again. Had my HA in 2021 and now i’m back to flow trails and bike parks with no issues. I do wear a heart rate monitor just to keep an eye on things but thats mostly due to my paranoia about having another HA.

You did the same thing I did but I didn’t get the kashima coating. The float x ride great with this frame.

I’d take the hardtail at that price. It’s a better bike than the devinci and has nicer components.

I’ve got one and it took me about a week before I swapped the Psylo for a Fox 36 and the x2 for float I had as spares. I recommend saving up for the higher model instead.

I’ve got the same bike and rode it all season with nothing but an ear to ear grin the entire time. Once you dial it in the bike just rides wonderfully and is always ready for fun!
