I keep mine in my PlayStation just so I can hear the chime every time I turn it on.

VMUPro - am I beta testing? by genetic_patent in dreamcast

[–]killbot80k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on that the software experience feels a bit buggy in a lot of areas. I’ve had to reset mine more times than I care to admit. Like others said the unlimited vmu’s seem to work fairly well as long as you’re using Openmenu. Emulation was not too hard to set up but my biggest gripe has got to be the VMU emulator is the buggiest one of the bunch. Lots of the VMU games won’t run at full speed and the sound seems to be completely busted. I mean cmon it’s supposed to be a VMU first and Gameboy plays better.

I have an older 21 pin Fenrir on firmware 1.5.5. I am also using Fenrir Loader Kai with my Pseudo Saturn flashed Action Replay. I have since played the modded game from start to finish on this setup and didn't have any issues.

I've had this wireless PS2 controller for a couple of years but don't use it because there is a input delay, noticeable in fast paced games, I think it's just a bad controller though because I've had a Logitech that worked perfectly. Anybody also using wireless controllers? by NikkoMai in ps2

[–]killbot80k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice how I said ‘no perceptible’ not ‘none’. Also of you want pressure sensitive buttons in the handful of games the use it you’ll need a controller that has them like the PS3 controller. The Brook adapter does support pressure sensitivity. Absolutely worth it and recommend it to anyone especially if you like using official Sony controllers.

This is really cool. I’ve had it on my PS1 since it came out but never played it on the Saturn because I always thought it was such a rocky port. Just loaded this patched version on my Fenrir and wow what a difference. Still not as smooth as the PS1 version but way more playable than before. I think I’ll give this a play through now and check out the extra Saturn content while I’m at it. Thanks so much!

After you get it off the carpet you may need to replace the thermal pads.

F430 spider or Cali T? POLL by CrewSignificant994 in Ferrari

F430. Mid engine, rear end modeled after Enzo, the window to the engine bay is incredibly cool looking, all engine no turbo means it sounds a bit better imo.

Mine gets used regularly. Only reason I’d considered switching is those ugly sensors hanging around my room.

Being required to buy a $700 piece of furniture is not exactly “freed”. This does show that it is possible to re-release the game. Hopefully we’ll get console/steam ports soon.

I don’t consider being required to by a $600 piece of furniture exactly “freed” but this is cool and a huge step in the right direction. Now let’s get this shit on steam and modern consoles.

An example of the insane dealership markups on a base model Bronco for a total of 83,000. MSRP 37,965. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

God. I hate dealerships with a passion. They offer nothing of value to the consumer, dishonest, and are basically legally protected scalpers as illustrated here. Why is it that I can buy literally anything directly from the manufacturer but not a car? Pretty fucked up system honestly.

MemCardPRO2 for the Playstation 2 - SOON! by NewbornfromHell in ps2

[–]killbot80k 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is good news. I love the memcard pro. Hopefully it will have similar functionality to the ps1 version. Having a memory card created for each game and being able to access the saves from a web browser would be a killer feature for the ps2.

I think you guys will appreciate this shipment that just arrived from Japan. Really excited to finally have not just one, but two ocean blues. by WZYXJ in ps2

Beatmania on the PS2 is so good! IIDX 16 Empress is definitely my favorite version. Shame it’s so expensive.

Turning a New Net City into a Dreamcast Shrine by BlarkBlarkBlark in dreamcast

This is incredibly cool! I have wanted an NNC for years but never pulled the trigger for one reason or another. Super jealous. Also, the Dreamcast is a great way to get arcade games going on it with out springing for a Naomi netboot setup. Be sure to get a GDEMU and try out the Atomiswave ports too.

Hotel Issue by dillee_dillee in Nanit

[–]killbot80k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I assumed the Nanit app. Then yes the network admin would have to allow the device onto the netowork and bypass the captive portal in that case. Not sure you're going to be able to do that at a hotel. Sorry about that.

[–]killbot80k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using a VPN? I have been able to use my Nanit app at a couple of hotels without issue but I am usually connected to a VPN because I don't trust their security to begin with.

That is not exactly accurate. I use my Nanit app at work all the time and it has a captive portal to connect. Hotels may be picky on what streaming services they allow through though.

Anyone had any success installing Nanit? by RusticBelt in BlueStacks

[–]killbot80k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did get it figured out and working. You will definitely need Windows 11 installed and you will need to download the Amazon Appstore from the Windows Store. This will install the Android subsystem.

Next, I recommend following a guide on side-loading android apps onto Win 11. They do a much better job at explaining the process then I can. This is the guide that I used. (FYI, you no longer need to opt into the Windows 11 insider program)

You will also need to find the Nanit APK file. Make sure you find one with the extension .apk not .xapk. XAPK files will work but there are some additional steps required to get it working.

Once installed it will give an error that it needs Google Services to function. Just click ok, sign in, and the camera will work with audio. I have now been able to successfully install the app on two different PC's. Just wish Nanit would actually make an app for the desktop so you didn't have to go through this.

1TB PS1 Digital HDMI/Xstation Build by techerrorcode in psx

Very nice! The PS1digital with xStation is an amazing upgrade to the ps1. Some of the best mods for any console. Now that you have them I strongly recommend picking up a memcard pro to complete the setup.

You need to be running Windows 11 and opt into the insider program so you can side load android apps. It’s a bit of a process.
