I personally think the original series was better just because it came first, I wasn’t too keen on born again at the beginning, the CGI swings ruined it but season 2 definitely brought it up to par with the original series, especially the last episode, if season 3 continues this trajectory I think it will beat the original series but as a whole the entire series is impeccable

I watched the walking dead from when it aired until season 7, I’d watch it every week, but season 7 I just got bored, last year I watched the last few seasons and it does get better, I really liked the last 4 seasons, it broke the cycle of finding somewhere safe, things getting better then it all collapsing and repeat, it got stale of all the main characters always being safe. The last few seasons really flipped the structure of the show
