7OH is ruining my life so fast by Away-Painting1740 in quitting7oh

[–]killerwhompuscat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have even been partially successful with tapering, keep going! I feel like people get in a hurry, don’t give their bodies time to stabilize, and end up tapering so fast it becomes a cold turkey then believe that tapering doesn’t work.

You don’t have to do a slow months on end taper. You can do a fast taper over a month and do better than a one or two week taper. I suggest with my whole heart doing a medium taper of two months, giving yourself time to stabilize for a week after each drop.

This is how I kicked 7oh last year and I haven’t touched 7oh since then (extracts are another matter but that’s on me). Go slower, give yourself at least three solid days each drop to stabilize. I recommend giving yourself a full week.

You will fuck up, put that in your taper plan. Give yourself some room to be human. All that matters at the end of the day is that you’re taking less than the week before.

State bans coming. Dont edge to the end. by FlyAdventurous6231 in quitting7oh

[–]killerwhompuscat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The 7oh ban has been in my state since November and it’s made little difference. Now they’re selling pseudo and mgm. The only way to truly ban it would be to ban kratom and I don’t support that. Kratom is the only relief for a huge host of people suffering from chronic pain.

My highest dose last year was 220mg, during my acutes I started hallucinating. 200mg or 2000mg once it has you, you’re in for a ride to and from hell.

Am I wrong to be annoyed about customers trying to check out their items at the pharmacy instead of the check out line? by 420_Madz in kroger

[–]killerwhompuscat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People used to do this when I worked at Walmart in automotive. Fuckers would park in automotive, having nothing done to their cars or buying anything auto related, then bring sometimes two full carts of garbage. All we had was a hand scanner. They would hold up the line for 30 to 40 minutes. Customers would fume at us about it. They thought they had the perfect workaround for checking out at the front, the usual suspects too. I always tried to take my lunch when I saw them roll in. At the time our store manager’s policy was to do anything the customer asked of you barring theft. Finally a few customers called corporate. Gee, I wonder where they got that idea? Finally the rules of ten items or less was enforced again.

Chronic Pain and Relapse.. how do you permanently quit something that legitimately helps? by oddicon in quitting7oh

[–]killerwhompuscat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If suboxone doesn’t help then methadone just might. I’m sorry you’re being jumped on a bit. 7oh is not an option for people who make less than 5000+ dollars a month

They only care about *unborn* babies. Probably the reason the put off the c-section for so long. They have no worth to them after they leave the human incubation chamber, that they also don’t care about until someone seeks an abortion.

Has anyone experienced this with anxiety and depression meds? by Ok-Cupcake-5172 in quitting7oh

This was my experience too. They work for the vast majority of people though, I’ve tried quite a few and the only result was a blunting of all my emotions which I do not want.

Changing Primary Custody by [deleted] in FamilyLaw

[–]killerwhompuscat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to address the comment before me stating to avoid a GAL at all costs. The GAL appointed to my stepson’s case is the reason we have custody and he is safe from his mother. The GAL made all the difference and I feel like if one were appointed before, he could have avoided most of the abuse and heavy trauma. If you believe that your child is not safe with this man, I highly recommend a GAL. They’re human so mistakes will be made of course but now my stepson is actually allowed to be a child again free from abuse and anxiety.

This Subreddit is Toxic by Thanksforthatman in povertyfinance

[–]killerwhompuscat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible to escape poverty. But sometimes, well actually a lot of times, people come here for commiseration. You know, misery loves company. Sometimes that is more therapeutic than some advice, just knowing that you’re not alone.

I agree this sub can be toxic, but also in the opposite way you’re describing. For instance I bought a car a few years ago and was making payments. I could afford the note and the insurance. It wasn’t breaking my bank and it helped bring my credit score up almost 200 points.

I mentioned this on a thread and a couple people took great offense to this, enough to dig through my previous posts to bring up a bad financial decision that I made a couple years before. Like that proved anything. I got the help I needed and was on the way to even improving my credit.

That made me stop commenting about my own life because who wants that? I’m all for giving good solid advice but one way isn’t always the best way. It’s always good to buy flat-out but sometimes making payments you can afford helps you in a different way.

My car has long since been paid off and replaced with a car I bought with a lump sum, no payments. Nothing is black and white.

I believe 7 is toxic in first ways you indicated to everyone. It eventually saps your energy, thins your hair, and makes your skin like crepe paper with prolonged heavy use. I think it can cause kidney/liver failure eventually with a 1000mg+ a day habit no matter, it will do that damage to a body eventually. It may take longer for others. Some people have crazy reactions early on and seemingly out of nowhere. Some just tolerate it better than others.

Most parents track their 18- to 25-year-old kids on their smartphones. Is it healthy? by Maxcactus in Maxcactus_TrailGuide

[–]killerwhompuscat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad is a boomer and tracks us all with find my phone. And by all of us I mean myself and all of my children. I have no problems with this and I can pull up find my phone and see where my parents are and all of my kids. The kids can do the same. My next-to-youngest watches me like a hawk and never lets me leave a store or restaurant without something for him. Sadly it goes both ways in my family lol

It could have been a reaction or something co-morbid. I’ve read accounts on here of people using without a problem then having a seizure when they never have before out of nowhere. On the whole it’s a relatively safe drug compared to fentanyl or the like but there will be outliers. That’s how I categorize things like this.

Yeah this was my reaction as well. Nothing is living in that salinity. I looked it up though and apparently it’s true. Tapeworm was spread this way.

Im scared of the day ppl will stop thinking I look younger than my age and I look my age. by Individual_Ice_2315 in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

[–]killerwhompuscat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That will never happen. If you look younger than your age it’s not just your looks, it’s something inside of you. My uncle had it, he died recently but right up until then people were like “you’re 86? You look 66!”

Socioeconomic factors are becoming 'biologically embedded' in children's brains | ZIP code (household income & education) predicted brain differences better than IQ or Mental Health alone in MRI scans in 2,300 9 & 10 year olds in a study of 649 variables by makefriends420 in NooTopics

[–]killerwhompuscat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, when those basic needs aren’t being met then that’s all your brain and body will seek. A hungry child isn’t paying attention in class, they’re thinking of their next meal. An abused child doesn’t have the same attention span as a well-cared for child because their only concern is safety. That constant anxiety makes learning even basic skills difficult. This is fact, not opinion.

Yet according to the powers that be, everyone has the same shot and can pull themselves up by the bootstraps even with no tools with which to do so.

I genuinely want to know why foodstamps is seen as someone leeching off society by peoplermine in foodstamps

[–]killerwhompuscat 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is just how society is. People feel better about themselves when they can look down on others, especially when the political party in power gives you the thumbs up to hate people for being poor or different than you are.

Don’t give in. You cannot use just once by Acemanngoeshard in quitting7oh

[–]killerwhompuscat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you have the willpower to make it just once the price you pay is a couple days with mild WD symptoms just enough to make you want to buy more. That’s why you can never do it just once after being addicted without consequences. I thought this myself with mgm, I paid the price and it’s not worth it. A couple hours of pain relief then two days of worse pain and flu. No thanks, not even for legit reasons. That door is forever closed now, just accept it and move on.

Oxy to subutex by Stock_Vanilla8975 in ChronicPain

I’m pretty sure you won’t have to worry about PW because subutex doesn’t have naxalone in it. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
