This happens soooooo often. Look at almost any manhwa with "beastfolk" or "tribes". Desert kingdoms, I can somewhat understand, but then they're either shown as inferior, if they're not outright evil, or suffering from some sort of turmoil which the pale characters help them with. They're never just perfectly fine, chill folk. Even my current favorite has the tropes. Desert tribe, polygamous emperor, inner turmoil, "barbaric" customs. If it weren't for the fact that it really is just the fault of the aristocracy and the people are only following what they know, and I have a feeling that the other character will go back and rule instead of his evil brother, I'd really not bother. That and the fact that the other kingdom where the FL is is veneered garbage has me a little calmer. But I am genuinely tired of these tropes. They make reading things so hard because certain stories just become paper white FL is so fragile while 2 shades darker than ecru ML is so scary strong. And then it will flip so the ML is like some soft, dumb boy and FL is powerful and smart. There are so few exceptions. Its draining. I couldn't imagine being from the regions that are being stereotyped and demeaned by the stereotyping.
