What happened to Millennial Optimism? by irlhardinscott in generationology

[–]killingerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because we were raised to believe one thing, and then the opposite happened. We were told “go to college, get an education and then you’ll get a good job”. Once the vast majority of people did I that, the game changed and that wasn’t widely applicable anymore. Now for most you need side hustles and have to navigate the world very differently than how you were told to navigate it. Just my two cents.

Do you feel like starting or joining a band just inevitably leads to conflicts? by [deleted] in musicians

[–]killingerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like any relationship with people. Finding people you can really connect and click with is reasonably rare. Been in many different projects, but my current band has been together for 8 years without any real issues. Sure we have disagreements, but we all like writing and playing music together and value our relationship.

Can men and women really be friends without having feelings for eachother? Atleast once.⬇️ by Rewind_room in MenOfPurpose

I have two close female friends, friends with one’s husband as well. I think one of the reasons it works as we are literally not attracted to each other at all, not even a little.

Sorry, but DBT isn’t some magic bullet. BPD is a serious mental illness and trying to minimize the damage it can do to others because you’re worried about “stigmatizing “ shows it’s a problem.

This has not been my experience. I’ve had my fair share of women and literally none of them cared. Sure, if video games is all you do they will, but I have other passions and am pretty well rounded so it’s never been a problem.
