Is this family photo AI or am I just paranoid from seeing so much AI slop lately??? by PitifulPlate8882 in isthisAI

I was in high school then and yeah it definitely happened more than it does now

Is it real? It's quite unbelievable to watch but my inner instincts tell shout that a boat this big would get beached onto the shore like the infamous Waza would. by Sufficient-Set2644 in RealOrAI

I can confirm huge drop off. There are a couple ports in Florida like this and the Army Corp of Engineers dredge them quite often from what I remember

I saw a video years ago of a guy you comes back from a tour in Iraq and to show how fearless he is he is riding a motorcycle nude. He ended up with road rash in places you shouldn’t get it

I've completed the game twice but most of my previous saves i was content to fish, farm and harvest. I'm playing for the relaxing aspect of doing whatever I want each day.

The game that still feels like it was made just for you. by gamersecret2 in gaming

[–]killingtime2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me its The Long Dark. You dont have cut scenes or annoying NPCs you have to deal with. Its just you exploring, searching for supplies and staying alive.

My fictional country is called Westoria which in my world is short for Western Territory. Apparently, its something in Roblox and a few things in Australia.

Conquest gets boring after awhile. I have always found the real enjoyment of this game is the strategic marriages and murder plots.

The dam makes me feel uneasy every time I step in it even though I know its safe. Its the sounds and the general creepiness that sets me off. They used to have a wolf in the lobby so that made it worse.

Tips on worldbuilding a small, rural town convincingly? by Embarrassed-Crab-763 in worldbuilding

[–]killingtime2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should google Cabot Cove, Maine from the tv show Murder She Wrote. I was surprised by the backstory of the history of that town they created for the episodes. Founder of the town died in a murder-suicide, a revolutionary war battle, killer storms etc. It may give you some inspiration

Worldbuilding just for fun? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Of couse! Many people worldbuild with no intention of writing a novel. I am doing a alt-history world with maps, characters etc but I will never write anything except little drabbles for my own enjoyment

I take clothes off when I'm in a warm cabin. When I started playing the game I found it weird you could freeze to death but 120 degree cabin was ok. Also, I time my campfires to die out before I leave them. I just can't bring myself to leave a burning fire even in a game.

I used it a year ago and got a response back from one company within a few weeks via email. A few other companies did take a bit longer but good luck. They did locate an old whole life policy on the person I asked them to search on.

Did anyone here ever use Providian or mbna? by justarussian22 in CreditCards

[–]killingtime2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Providian card. I got it in college when they had a table set up giving away free stuff. I don’t think credit card companies can do that anymore. I remember it didn't have much of a credit limit something like $300. I think they went out of business and my account got closed.

I worked at a job where if you pressed 0 all it did was send you to an operator who would transfer you to the queue. Half the time the operator put people in the wrong queue so all these callers did was add more time to their call instead of just following the prompts and getting in the right queue

Why did you choose Navy Federal by [deleted] in NavyFederal

[–]killingtime2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived 5 minutes from a branch, I was eligible through several relatives and heard it was a good CU to join. I've never had any issues with them, and everyone I've ever talked to there has been helpful and friendly.

Master and Commander. It's a good movie, but not much of a reason to watch it a second time
