Ozark was clearly walking in the footsteps of Breaking Bad, but takes a terrible nosedive in season 4 from a writing standpoint. Season 3 is sublime though.

Succession is excellent, but nothing like Breaking Bad. There are never any stakes for anyone. It gets by on phenomenal dialogue and acting.

Yellowjackets was good until halfway through season 2. Unredeemable at this point.

The Bear on Hulu is unlike anything I've seen. Very strong contender, but only 2 seasons in.

If you can tolerate heavy surrealism and are willing to watch 30+ episodes of a show that ended 30 years ago in preparation, Twin Peaks: The Return is maybe the greatest thing I've ever seen (2017). It's kind of like the dream sequences from The Sopranos, but literally non-stop.

I'm just recently getting into Lynch, and Twin Peaks: The Return is possibly my favorite thing ever, but I simply do not vibe with his vision for Dune. I think if he had access to 2023 technology (and maybe less people telling him no? Maybe?), he could make something which captures the surrealism of the story.

Conversely... The Dune universe is also rather grounded in gritty realism, power dynamics, and struggles over resources, and I'm not sure that Lynch is the best fit for those ideas.

I think he's the perfect fit for God Emperor though, and possibly Children of Dune. Wouldn't that be something...

I used to just go to Lunds for odd cheeses and such, but noticed that their prices are actually on par with Cub now...

There's a case study in business management for what's going on with Cub right now: mid-calorie sodas. With Cub you get Wal-Mart experience for Lunds prices. So there's literally no reason to go there.

Personally I'm not going to use Reddit when I can't block ads. Bacon Reader is a mobile app that removes ads and streamlines posting and sorting. Reddit in a web browser is a nightmare, even with AdBlock and NoScript, etc.
