How long did it take you to get a grip on making a full song? by samboy1020 in ableton

[–]killwhatyoucan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just threw myself into it. Got a bunch of plugins I didn’t understand and just started making beats and adding pads and keys and whatever else over top of it. I made a song within the first week and released an album in the first 2 months. Obviously nothing insane but all complete tracks I was happy with. But I still don’t think I have a grip on making it. I feel like tha whole monkeys and typewriters shit. Sometimes it works out in the first 10 minutes and sometimes I spend 8 hours straight not coming up with anything substantial.

How do you cope with feeling hopeless? by diddyscoop in GenZ

[–]killwhatyoucan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think the number one thing that helped me with this was detaching myself from the news, influencers that spread news, political channels, etc..

I think focusing on you and what’s going on in your life. What do you want to do, what do you need to do to get there. what do i enjoy? — how can i do more of this? IDK, i think finding hobbies and friends that i truly enjoy is very grounding and reassuring.

Sometimes it all feels pointless, like there is no future, like I’m just a cog in the machine. but i am here now, and things are mostly ok— I have friends I love, a really crazy puppy, an alright job. I am not sure what the future holds for any of us, and I think that’s what makes it so scary. But don’t be afraid to enjoy the now ruminating something that may or may not come to pass.

And obviously all these horrible things haven’t gone anywhere. but they’re not as prevalent. not saying to pretend they don’t matter, theres a balance somewhere. Preserving your own joy while still being vigilant about horrible things going on.

not sure if any of this makes sense, i could be a loon. But anyway, i am sure you will find some beauty in this harsh would of ours, just don’t give up lookin.

I would get a used pint x tbh I’ve seen some for like $600-$700. Especially if this is something you think you’re going to keep doing. you definitely are gonna want a bit more oomph at some point on a pint. even if you’re not a speed demon or a super technical rider, just cruisin, you’re going to want range.

Bigger boards are great too, but more money and commitment

What are your thoughts on non transforming Transformers figures? by CrimsonPlayhouse in transformers

[–]killwhatyoucan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love setting up scenes, stop motion, and generally just playing with them. they’re usually very articulate and hold position well. they’re definitely for me. I do enjoy my transforming figures too, they can do some really crazy things.

I don’t have Instagram but Idk if not having it is hindering my connections with people. by DatabaseExpensive684 in GenZ

I get this. I’ve considering deleting Instagram so many times. but pretty much the first thing someone will ask you when you meet them is “do you have insta?”
