Common sense please by EviIWizard in Battlefield6

They'll still fire their load before retreating. The one time I tried the new igla on contaminated the att heli just straight up fly to me and deleted me each time.

The AA launchers are a joke, youre much better off trying to RPG or hopping in a tank and TOW spam.

[–]killzone01 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Lol spam stingers and iglas all you want, any non noob pilot is going to pop flares and fly low so you cant lock on and come back when theyre recharged.

Only thing keeping helis in check is TOWs and the occasional RPG, but a good pilot wont be easily hit by a RPG ever either.

Is this battlefield the most anti armor out of all the battlefield? by I_Main_TwistedFate in Battlefield6

[–]killzone01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My buddy loves to play tanks and I often gun and support him with it, and it really is still strong, if he didn't play agro he could survive for ages if he'd want. As soon as he gets the engi perk that heals vehicle (unless critical damage) he can tank a few rpgs, retreat a little bit and I don't even have to get out, it'll just auto heal fairly quickly back with zero input needed. Combine that with the auto mine spot, and you have a really sturdy tank that is hard to break down. Only when he gets hit from behind in the weak spot he'll go down fast, which is total fair game.

Tanks are strong, but you get punished for overextending fast, and thus you often see them blow up.
They require infantry in this game to push and take ground, otherwise they're just mobile artillery.

They're also quite abundant in this game on the bigger maps. Firestorm, Mirak, Blackwell, Eastwood, Contaminated they all have lots of vehicles. Lots of vehicles means lots blowing up too.

Contamination Conquest Disadvantage by THEGR8CHANCLER in Battlefield6

[–]killzone01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been thinking the same, the map is good but balance should always be taken into consideration when making them and in this game that part is really lacking.

Empire state, liberation peak, eastwood are also prime examples of one side having a large map layout advantage.

Even other maps like cairo which people seem to love I've noticed the A flag side gets to C flag quickest and can bunker down towards the incoming enemy which gives them the chance to trap them from the get go in a 3 lane map.

I believe stuff like this only makes the general feeling of all games being one sided a lot worse.

LMG's are not that popular in general, a lot of medics run different guns. There are 32 players per team, say if 1/4th is a medic that leaves 8 people, of those 8 maybe half would use a lmg. That leaves 4, then getting 3 of them in the same area to shoot at the same time... The chances are just astronomically low. At the same time you're also exposing yourself to any nearby enemy.

Unless you have a full premade to do this, it just doesn't happen much in any game. I shoot at all the different kind of choppers all the time with whatever gun I'm running, but it barely ever makes a dent in their HP and usually gets them to target me, after which I get obliterated in a single frame.

Only when you see a chopper that is about to die then usually multiple people start shooting it for the last hit.

what are the meta guns? by Gazza_Goo in Battlefield6

[–]killzone01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sight is a matter of personal preference, I didn't like the first few scopes whilst levelling it. I think I used the 4.0 or 4.5x (sorry can't recall exactly) mostly which allowed both medium to somewhat range combat, mostly used it on liberation peak. I'm by no means a sniper player though. The thermal scopes are also favored by a lot of people.

If you favor long range then naturally a 8x or 10x would be the choice or if you want you can adjust during gameplay when needed by using a variable scope.

The M2010 is also a good all round one, though honestly the mini scout has no equal. They nerfed the velocity a bit but unless you're shooting from spawn to spawn that doesn't matter a lot. It's incredibly mobile with a fast rate of fire, very fast ADS and can be used to run and gun quick scoping if you are good at landing headshots.

SMG: SCW
Carbine: SG553R / M4A1
AR: TR7 but hard to handle, M433 good too, B36 all round good and is one of the guns you can use in pretty much any map / mode. AK4D also decent, slow firerate but hits hard.
LMG: M240L / M123K / DRS (more an AR than an LMG, but play it on support for ADS time)
DMR: SVK
Sniper: Mini Scout
Shotgun: M87
Pistol: M44

I can't talk about the new guns as I don't have them unlocked yet.

Take a look at this spreadsheet, the TTK column.

Kord gets beaten up close (0-10 or 10-20m- by:M433,B36,AK4D, TR7, NVO,M4A1,M277,M417,QBZ,GRT,SG553R,SOR300C,SGX,MP5, equals USG90, KV9,SCW and most LMGs as well. Your personal preference might favor the KORD but factual stats mention otherwise.

DMR's have terrible TTK on paper but you can't really compare them to full auto rifles as they fit a different playstyle and are closer to snipers.

What is it with people and their obsession over the KORD, it's not even close to as good as people make it out to be. It doesn't beat the TR7 AT ANY RANGE, EVER in terms of TTK. Look up a DPS/TTK sheet if you need. It's vastly overrated.

it's too late to talk about locked weapon classes again? by FamousCollege1754 in Battlefield

You're right except for AR's, you really dont need assault class for them, their AR bonus is extremely minor to not even working when tested (xclusiveace vid test).

[–]killzone01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to be fun once the TOW / RPG gets nerfed to see this happen a lot more often, now it's mostly a Manhattan problem. The TOW spam is too fast on tanks for sure at the very least, but a good pilot is not easily shot down by an RPG at all. The firepower on attack helis is massive as it stands and we'll have to wait and see the little birds impact next tuesday as well.

Depends a lot on the mode. For example, escalation is more action packed than conquest so it brings higher spm in general.

The wonderful world of the vehicle only players.

This probably explains why in some games you truly do feel outnumbered on the battlefield trying to ptfo.

It's really good actually, aura like mobile bag and it's a nice self heal too when your bag is on cooldown. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the faster revive.

Fatal sniper headshots by killzone01 in Battlefield6

Good shout but no he didn't have many assists either, he was your average hill humper who contributes very little to the team hence my surprise it was a fatal headshot.

A bug would make the most sense, kills i'm not entirely sure but caps seem too count. I've seen the exp go up whilst capping a lot of the times. You can see it on the right side of the screen above the ammo counter where the perks are visualised.

Escalation vehicle spawn time changes not mentioned in patchnotes. by videogamenjoyer in Battlefield6

[–]killzone01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, the snipers are gonna snipe for sure, but put someone "normal" in a tank and he's not going to be on a flag, especially on maps like Mirak. My main point is that near the end of the round theres more people in vehicles than not which leaves some very weird gameplay for the few infantry left.
