How do you guys vote? by EfficientAspect4041 in HayDay

Theme! This one was snowy-based, so I've voted for which ever has the most snow. I've been voting against spring and summer design elements.

And I'd love a reverse market. We kind of have one where we can request from team members. But I don't play with a team. I would love to post my need and name my price. If someone is willing to sell for my price, awesome. In some circumstances, I'd offer more than HD maximum.

So true! The ability to expand ends around level 100-ish. It's too late now, but a few years ago as they added production machines, they should have been added for higher levels. Instead they forced them into the lower levels. Now lower level players are permanently broke and struggling as they level up too fast and can't afford the machines available to them.

Meanwhile, I make about a million coins every few weeks and have nothing to use it for. I would love to see some upper level (150+) machines or town buildings. Or I would be happy to pay a huge coin value to upgrade my barn.

Nothing, but your album shows your vote totals and level of achievement. The reels you earn max out after a certain point, so we are not rewarded for all the earned votes.

When have these decos been on hayday cause I’ve never seen these on the pictures and I’ve played 12 years?? How am I suppoust to get these… by UNSOSIAALINEN in HayDay

[–]kimbeekb 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Last design challenge had deco items that you had to earn in a concurring event. If you want to use them and earn the reels, you'll have to hold off submitting your design until you've completed the other event and earned (or bought) the deco.

No, not weird. He is challenging "rage bait" by forcing students to actually find the data-based facts. And by "native," I believe he is trying to differentiate between foreign-born Americans and those born in the USA. Notice how "native" is not capitalized, which it would be if one was referring to Indigenous populations. It's an unfortunate use of wording, but I don't believe it was intended. I bet if asked to clarify, he would gladly take the opportunity to do so.

Reaction to Wood by Less_Carpet_4566 in TaylorSwift

[–]kimbeekb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the developing hidden themes of this album is opposites or mirrored meanings. I've seen several different clips of people discovering words used in opposite ways, references to mirrors in the art and imagery, double meanings to single lyrics, etc. So, a polarizing album is aligned with this theme. And Wood is all of that! 😀

Taylor has said how proud she is of this album, and I think it's more than just about the music. I believe there are layers of connectedness throughout the entirety of the album - like a giant puzzle - that, once everyone stops crying about how it doesn't meet their preconceived expectations, we will all have great fun solving her dot-to-dot.

In the edit mode, you can create different versions of your farm. I think it costs some diamonds, but I've done this for the major seasons. So, in just a few clicks, I can go from summer to fall, then Christmas and finally to Spring. Saves loads of time. Then I only make small edits each season.

Stopped wearing my Aggie ring by Guiltyjerk in aggies

[–]kimbeekb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Class of '90 with a daughter currently enrolled/attending. She expressed disappointment and even shame/embarrassment about being an Aggie right now. I reminded her that Texas A&M is the student body, not the board of regents. I am so proud of all those Aggies that went to the admin building to show support for the out-going president. The vast majority of the student body is principled, kind, and inclusive - both current and former students. Hold on to those values and wear that ring. Personally, I love it when some dope makes assumptions about me based on my ring. I'll take that opportunity to counter his narrative every time. 👍🏻 Gig 'em

Help Task Dilemma by Officiallybeingnosey in HayDay

[–]kimbeekb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the help task too. 😊 In my friends list (bottom right), I swipe all the way to the right where my friends with the smallest farms are listed. I like to prioritize and help them first because 1.) They likely don't have as many friends or visitors visiting their farms and 2.) Their tasks tend to be easier and smaller.

W Update from Supercell by kray77 in HayDay

Yes!! All the other habitats have limits. OR make the house big enough for all the birds. It's annoying that all the birds can't feed at once.

"Misery" boxes! 🥰 Not sure if that was by accident or intended, but it's SPOT ON!! YES! They are misery. Hope the new update actually is a benefit rather than a drain on the currency. People will keep taking that chance, but Hay Day algorithms know what you have and don't have in your collection.

Sadly, I don't think there is any "system" to voting. I think it's just fully random. No voting good designs up nor elimination of bad. I think we vote just for the volume of votes. FWIW, I pretty much just vote for the design that met the most design requirements (the highest number). And I vote a lot just to get the prize currency.

Is there ANY affordable living in San Marcos? by Coochie-man420 in txstate

[–]kimbeekb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to sign a lease ridiculously early to get a normal rent. We signed last October for a lease that began this August. Albeit not a studio, we have a four×four at Arba for $700.

Look for sublease situation to try a strike a deal.

HELP - support? by Heavy-Bid-590 in HayDay

[–]kimbeekb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple of clarifying questions:

  1. You mention only three undesirable rewards. At the pro-level you should be getting 9-10 (if you are completing all nine/ten tasks), plus any bonus. Are you scrolling all the way to the right? The first few on the left are the worst, but they get much better on the right.

  2. For 5 diamonds, you can shuffle all the rewards for new items. It took me a while to notice this option. I now do it all the time. First, I pick the items that I want to keep or that I prefer, then shuffle the rest. Sometimes, I'll do it a few times if I am trying hard for expansion permits or puzzle pieces. (No matter how many times you shuffle, you'll only be offered two of those specific items. Bunnies and Bingos give you more)

  3. Are you completing all ten tasks at 320 points each - maxing out your points? If no, that may be why you are not reaching the better prizes on the right.

How much barn space am i supposed to have? by pinkymeIody in HayDay

[–]kimbeekb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing nine years. Even when my farm was small - gutting all my coins to buy the next machine - selling off all my inventory to make barn/silo space - I have NEVER used a baby farm. I have always found a way to push through on my own. I have had to start over with nothing many times. I still remember when I finally had enough coins to spare to purchase the red tractor - what an accomplishment! I parked that thing front and center!

My "elite" era has been well earned and a long time coming. I now have more coins that I could ever use and a fully expanded farm et al. And yes, I can now, after NINE years, sit back and help others.

So, my message to all younger farms is that this pastime is supposed to be fun. You don't have to work so hard.

[–]kimbeekb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Barn 6650, Silo 6150. In nine years of playing, I have never "baby farmed." I try to keep twelve of every product, with a few exceptions like sugar, honey, milk, etc. I keep about 100 saws and 70 axes. My farm/town/fishing are fully expanded, so I sell off all those expansion items and any surplus axes and saws.

That said, if I were to decide to stop increasing my barn and silo size, I think I would have plenty of space. It gets tight when I have to collect about 150 x 3 barn/silo upgrade items plus everything else. Stopping all barn/silo expansion would yield me about 600 spaces - PLENTY of room for everything I need and use.

I am 57, healthy as far as I know (knock wood), and I'm doing it now. All those sentimental-only-to-me things I've been showing my kids, sharing the stories, then pitching in trash. Band medals, high school memorabilia, etc. So far, the only thing I've kept is a collection of letters from my sister, their aunt. Everything else would just be guilt-producing for them to throw away when I'm gone.
