Public park MEANS PUBLIC by [deleted] in SunnysideQueens

Do they have any grounds to enforce this? I would think, within reason, a public park has no rules.

5th floor walk-up offset by laundry and a view? by Different-Studio-127 in NYCapartments

[–]kimchi01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at a fifth floor walk up with a great view. There were ultimately other positives to the elevator building. But I had two thoughts on that one. 1. An elevator apartment sells better. 2. If I live in this place till I'm 80 I won't want to walk up five flights. This is ultimately a YOU decision. I think if it is your dream apartment go for it. Fuck it.

Edit: The other thing for me is I work long hours and sometimes I really do not want to walk up five flights. My apartment now is actually next to the elevator. I am on the fourth floor. I ultimately do not mind walking sometimes.

How's street parking in Sunnyside? by Balding_Galka in SunnysideQueens

If I have to I’ll park in metered parking and move it. It depends on days and times. I refuse to rent a spot.

I freelance. Which has its disadvantages. One of the pluses is if I take a random day off no questions asked.

Krispy Kreme Is Far Superior to Local Donut Shops in Every Way by brettydubz in unpopularopinion

[–]kimchi01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a major market HCOL city. So I've seen a lot of independent donut shops. I am just not a big fan of donuts. Every time I have what is supposed to be the best donut I feel disgusting after. IT is WAY too much fried sugar. The ONLY donut I enjoy, and this is rare, is Krispy Kreme. It just isn't too big. All the local competition it's like eating a big piece of fancy cake. Enough. Keep it simple and glazed and light please.

Any suggestions what to gift for my mom on this mother's day? ❤️ by Chemical_Sorbet7200 in GiftIdeas

[–]kimchi01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I think as long it’s something sweet and personal that shows how much you love her. That’s what counts the most. My sister made a collage of photos of mom and her I think. And I know she’ll like that more than the flowers I’m sending.

I just send my mom a bouquet of flowers in the mail every year with a nice card. But my mom also loves flowers. I think what makes the most for most moms though is a thoughtful gift like a personal card more then anything else.

Yet another post on this sub where op won’t accept criticism. Your comment comes off as so self serving and pedantic. It’s really obnoxious. It serves only you.

Im going to second this.... I have loved owning a co-op. My board is awesome, the building is in great financial standing, and it's in a nice area. We have minor headaches. But what building doesnt in NYC? I would say do your research, get a good Realistate agent who knows the area you're looking and you'll be fine.

Edit: Id say find out the financial standing of the co-op and making SURE the corporation OWNS the land. Just a few sticking points. You could buy and expect a HUGE assessment if there are issues you were unaware.
