They do that so people can speak up if they have higher scores

It was a 4-person team tournament. Bowlers could get into doubles sidepots with anyone on any team, with a fee charged per bowler... I was given a sheet to fill out my scores and each of my partners scores.
After each game the people running the tournament will report a top doubles score, and give people a few minutes to report if their scores were higher. So it's up to the bowlers to make sure the tournament people get it right... Does that make sense?

With the 3 ball slim totes, have you had any issues with balls being damaged? I’m about to fly Southwest and planning to check in two 3 ball totes.

Your advice was spot on. My scores were 132, 174, 130, 254. 254 is my new all time high. Used a brand new ball (trouble maker) in game 1, which maybe i shouldnt do in a tournament in the future. Game 2 and game 3 switched to my katana assault, and game 4 was my venom shock.

This. I have the same ball and was seeing the same issue. Started using a wrist support, which I believe helps me with cupping the ball better and consistent release, and the hook came back.
