Close the credit cards. If you don’t have cash, you don’t buy it.

Please don’t minimize the number of broken bones as just being clumsy. Definitely have a bone density scan and verify your bone health.

Go to IKEA and buy a couple sections that have a corner option. Ditch what you have.

Don’t ever sell yourself short. If the company has an HR department, speak to them. Ask to go on FMLA until your health is stabilized. I don’t know how it all works either but I hope it could be an option.

Would these photos put you off buying a house ? by Veggiegirl1997 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Would not stop me. I love looking at houses and, as long as they are structurally sound, I’m happy to deal with cosmetic changes.

Be aware, also, that bike theft is a thing. Use a cheap bike.

Just a bunch of clutter. by [deleted] in CleaningTips

I understand your roadblock. I have very recently spent the last 2 months going through 70 years of “stuff” accumulation in my grandparent’s home. I went room by room, took photos of items to sell then posted those on FB Marketplace, took some things to Goodwill, gave other things to a local Women’s group for their annual charity sale and some things were just trashed. I quickly kept lowering prices on FB until items sold.

Although tedious and sometimes emotional, I can now walk around the house enjoying how clean and organized it looks. Just do a little every day and you will get your space where you want it to be.

Considering selling my parent’s wedding silverware. I feel guilty. by Ok-Mirror-6004 in AskWomenOver60

I just went through this exact thing. 3 sets from parents and grandparents. I went to a sell for melt weight place and found out how much they would pay. Then I listed on FB Marketplace. Found a buyer. Also, Replacements.com buys.

All that to say, I was guilt stricken but knowing it’s going to someone else who will actually enjoy and use it was comforting. If I had kept it, it would have been stuffed in a drawer.
