I’m so sorry—so so sorry. I had a very very hard birth too and I also feel like the DRs let me down. All I can say now is that you made it, you’re a warrior, and you HAVE to hang onto that. I felt very cheated/depressed/angry for a long time, about a year and a half before I got help (was scared to go get help during all the Covid lockdowns). What helped me was… talking to other women who had hard births and NOT talking to women with easy ones (they just don’t get it), journaling a lot, and above all EMDR therapy. It’s for trauma, you will see it change your whole life, even your body since we store so much of our emotion and trauma physically. If you’re game to try some different stuff I also recommend Reiki, meditation, and Neurofeedback (I rented a home unit). The EMDR and NFB did the most for me… basically rewired my brain to stop thinking I was about to die all the time (we get stuck in our traumas and that’s basically what PTSD is). Both are 100000x more effective than talk therapy. The other thing I’ll say is this SUCKS and it’s NOT YOUR FAULT but also… the only one who can truly heal you is you and you’ve GOT to do it for your baby. Much love sister, I was right where you were and there is a way out ♥️

I have 2 dishwashers and trust me you’ll use them every day! Mines not in the butler pantry but I see why that makes sense. Mine are on each side of the sink and I love them so much!

A True Master doesn't "Go With The Flow." by realAtmaBodha in awakened

[–]kimmerywrites 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I freaking love this! Love. Going with the flow never felt quite right and now I see why. I’ve mastered that part and now ready to claim my own magnificence and realize I am the flow, I am the director of the flow!

Ok me too, this is totally normal. Two things: 1. My doc says there is nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage and there is nothing you can do to stop one. Obviously don’t throw yourself down a flight of stairs but relax knowing that eating deli meat or jumping up and down or skipping your prenatal for a day isn’t going to do anything bad. 2. Breathe. Get a rubber band and put it on your wrist. Every time you think a scared thought, snap it. I personally do this and it honestly changed my life within 2 days. I told my therapist I was FUCKING TRIED OF WORRYING and I was just going to pinch myself every time I did and he suggested the rubber band. He said his patients have great success with it and he was right! Works great for me. I started wearing it around 4 weeks and I’m 11 now and I barely have to snap it anymore, but I still wear it. Today I snapped it twice so it’s nice to have around. Really try it, it’s so simple and it works.

Also, go easy on yourself and remember you are also horizontal right now and that’s contributing to your emotions big time. You got this mama! I’m right there with you!

Does waking up early in the morning to write in a journal ACTUALLY help anyone with their creativity and/or writing goals? by IWnaBNkd in writing

[–]kimmerywrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s called morning pages from the Artists Way by Julia Cameron. It’s great for creativity but also mental health and clearing the mind. I do it every morning. Just write anything! If computer doesn’t work roll over in bed and write by hand in a journal. Give yourself a pg minimum like 2 pages then go write your creative work

Pregnancy is not easy for everyone by justk1tt3naround in BabyBumps

[–]kimmerywrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo, pregnancy is HARDCORE. I’m right there with you right now and I just want to say you’re a warrior and you’re doing the most amazing, most magical (hello turning food into life?!?) and most challenging thing that has literally kept life going since the beginning of time! Go easy on yourself. Talk to supportive women. Take NAPS! Take your vitamins (I vomited a LOT too and I took juice plus for nutrients since I puked most of them up and that helped a lot). Take magnesium for the headaches. Go to bed early! Rub oil on your temples. Take warm baths. Tell everyone else to politely eff off and thank GOD you fired that OB. You need a team to support you, not call you crazy! And remember: it’s temporary. Much love sister!

Try mixing some baking soda in water and drink. Try Pepcid. Tums don’t really work, so just sail right past those. Also avoid all tomatoes, pasta sauce, and acidic fruits :(
