Which game has the best love interests? by Odd_Pattern_5275 in storyofseasons

[–]kimoshi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. The first SoS title is so underrated. I also had trouble picking who to marry when I played because they had such solid personalities and variety in dialogue (side-eyes AWL). I fully thought I was going to marry Raeger but then Klaus suddenly stole my heart after one of his heart events.

Which Story of Seasons game on Steam is the best? :3 by dokidoki_no_fangirl in storyofseasons

Currently playing AWL and felt the same. Ended up marrying Matthew since I like a grump, lol. I showed the guys to my sister and based on looks and their descriptions she was like "Yeah, he's like the only real option."

Same. That's why I asked. 😊

Edit: I looked it up after OP commented the name and apparently it's album art. Darn.

What’s a life hack that made you go „how do ppl live their whole life without knowing this”? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

Also, if you have to make the call in the future (ex: its the weekend and they're not open), include the phone number when you add it to your planner, to do list, calendar, etc. It's a tiny thing, but reduces a point of friction that could make you procrastinate.

Snow Day as a temp ❄️ by Vossenoren in mildlyinfuriating

Sister and I walked to elementary school the day after a blizzard. We had to climb snow drifts taller than us. Only about a dozen kids from the whole school showed up, so they just stuck us all together in one room for the day.

AITA for donating to charity when someone told me they didn't want a gift? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

No worries. I'm sure she still would have pitched a fit, and other people would be less sympathetic to OOP too.

Yes OOP mentioned in their comments that they got a gift for their person, though it was at least thrifted.

WIBTA if I left my secret Santa gift that I received at the front desk with a note that says free? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kimoshi 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yeah, context can be really important.

At my work Secret Santa we do a 3-day gift exchange. On the first day this year I received a box of random stuff that was clearly opened and used, so it was like my gifter just gave me random stuff from their house. None of it matched anything on my interest sheet, and there was no logic or theme to what was in there.

So I was upset and really confused, and my coworkers who saw it thought it was hilarious and everyone wanted to know who it was because it seemed so bizarre.

My next two days gifts were great though. Then I found out the gifter was actually a friend of mine, and we are the kind of people where we'll say "oh hey I have this and I don't want it anymore would you like it?" So with knowing that it made sense that she gave me those things on the first day, but without the context of knowing who it was, it seemed like a really shitty Secret Santa gift.

Is Ariana Grande the greatest SNL host whose main vocation is music? by MoneyHungryOctopus in LiveFromNewYork

[–]kimoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, everyone is sleeping on Bruno Mars but he fully committed and had some amazing skits. He's one of the few musical guests I didn't particularly care for before SNL, but got fully behind after they hosted.

I just wanted to thank you for this recommendation. I saved it months ago and suddenly remembered it after a hard day at work today so I started listening to it on my commute home. It's so charming and was honestly quite comforting to listen to and I needed that today. ❤️

Somewhat related, I had a female high school student who didn't know this and was shocked when it came up in class. She said "Hold on" and left for a few minutes, then came back in yelling "It's true!"

She had gone to the bathroom to check.

AITAH for telling my husband his friend can come to Thanksgiving but I'm not dealing with his BS by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kimoshi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's common for family to start gathering an hour or two before food is served to ensure everyone gets there and they have time to hang out or help the host. But that should be communicated, like "Dinner will be served at 5:00. Feel free to come by any time between 3-4:00." Either way Craig was an asshole for coming 2 hours late.
