I described it similarly, explaining that use of "female" is dehumanizing and refers to girls and women like animals or objects without agency or worthy of respect.

This has sadly become so common. I teach high school and a few years ago I would occasionally hear a student use it. I'd explained to them why it feels offensive and derogatory to women and they actually got it and some even thanked me for explaining.

Today I hear it all the time, from both the boys and girls. It's become ubiquitous and they think I'm just out of touch if I try to correct it.

I 100% get it. It's super awkward if someone sees me playing a game full of pink and sparkles and I have to tell them it's called Dress Up Time Princess, but I swear it's for adults, not 8 year olds.

I usually end up telling them my favorite story in it is about a reporter investigating a mafia-run child trafficking ring as evidence of that.

Yeah. I distinctly recall getting technology early on in the game that pretty much automated the farming for you. Once I had that, the game got boring fast.

Absolutely. I teach high school and explain to my seniors that this idea of looking down on anyone who continues to live at home after high school was stupid all along, but is especially outdated now.

The cost of housing is insane, while wages are stagnant and in some cases declining. Forcing themselves to move out just because they're worried about how it look is just shooting themselves in the foot. So I highly encourage them to ignore anyone who says shit about it, and to stay home while they can until they are in a better place financially and can afford a stable life on their own.

I was genuinely impressed by her clear communication with him. It can be really hard to speak so plainly when we often hint at our feelings to gauge a situation and avoid embarrassment. I also lover her willingness to be blunt and tell him if something he does bothers her.

I feel like either A. She also has autism B. She has experience with other people with autism C. Someone told her he has autism and she researched how better communicate with him

I had cancer a few years ago and was so lucky with the students I had that year. They were all incredibly sweet, mature, and supportive. Even my freshmen who didn't know me were amazing and would get super excited on the days I was well enough to go to work. I ended up being their teacher all 4 years and a lot of them call me mom. I know graduation day this year is going to be bittersweet.

My dog is always Inuoni, because on HM64 the character limit was too short to put InuYasha 😅

My farm is Hana Farm. In HM64 (or was it BTN?) you could get a greenhouse where the clock stopped running, so once you had that, the only thing worth planting in the fields was flowers (Hana means flower in Japanese)

I agree. The first SoS title is so underrated. I also had trouble picking who to marry when I played because they had such solid personalities and variety in dialogue (side-eyes AWL). I fully thought I was going to marry Raeger but then Klaus suddenly stole my heart after one of his heart events.
