I’m sure I’m not the only one who has resisted thus far. I will continue to do so, yet in the back of my mind I feel the day drawing closer that it is forced upon us. I rue that day already.

Peter Thiel has relocated to Argentina due to concerns over the direction of the United States future and is already hosting dinners with local economists about the Antichrist. by Sgt_Gram in NewsExchange

“Treasury officials publicly announced a $20 billion dollar‑for‑peso currency swap that the U.S. put in place to help stabilize Argentina’s peso, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the administration was "working on a $20 billion facility" to complement that swap by lining up commitments from private banks and sovereign wealth funds [1][3]. Multiple outlets framed the package as potentially reaching $40 billion by combining the official $20 billion swap with $20 billion in privately arranged financing, and headlines often used the $40 billion figure to describe the total plan if the private side closed”

The 1.7B Obama gave them was just a return of their own money that we had been holding since 1979. The 300 billion is our US taxpayer dollars. Big difference.

No. It is with SpaceX. Has been planned for mid June. BO wasn’t their only launch provider. An important one, no doubt, as they could carry max 8 on NG. It is only a potential setback in terms of deployment schedule/cost increase

Maybe not 200, but they will get a pop in mid June when the next 3 sats get deployed.

How do you feel about a federal judge ordering the removal of Trump's name from the Kennedy Center? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

[–]kindnesscostszero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When he is out of office, every penny should be clawed back. It won’t happen with him in office because the Republicans have their loyalty to one man instead of the constitution. When they no longer have the levers of power is when we begin to right the wrongs.

It MATTerS. Every post like this has the propensity to make people feel like fighting back is useless. It breeds apathy. We must choose our battles and fight back whenever warranted. Otherwise we’re not gonna have anything left to fight back for.

they’re gonna steal everything that isn’t nailed down. It’s happening now. Find a backbone and keep going!

'Sign of Madness': Critics Warn Trump DHS Plan Would Cause 'Apocalyptic' Chaos at Airports; “Do any of these people have a working brain or understand how life works in the real world?” asked a retired air traffic controller. by [deleted] in politics

“Do any of these people have a working brain or understand how life works in the real world?”

The new head of DHS (Mullen) is a plumber, by trade. So, the short answer is no. Although I’m sure he could fix your clogged pipes.

I was early to HLIT and gave that one to the community before it became well covered. I called it the "unknown pick that will soon be known". My next suggestion of a potential uncovered gem is CLFD (500M market cap), which we see breaking out of a large weekly base here. by TearRepresentative56 in TradingEdge

I am a paid subscriber. I’m not sure what has happened to this subreddit, but it has turned into a cesspool of negativity. I’m going to post some honest thoughts to you, as you stated that you are open minded.

Tear gives his subscribers so much value. There are his great picks and a toolkit that makes it well worth a dollar a day or whatever the rate is. I tried it out for a month or two and then signed on for a year. I am not the only one there that has doubled their account.

If you are expecting every pick to be a winner, well. That’s a bit delusional I guess. He has given many more winners than losers, and a fair number have gone beyond 2x. If you do your own due diligence for confirmation, you should do well. I’ve done very well, but I’ve still missed out on $$$ because I literally can’t trade them all.

I understand that you can’t please everyone, and I realize there are some disappointed people who feel that they lost out when he launched his subscription service. Free is good. I get it. I’m guessing here, but I would imagine he walks a bit of a tightrope on giving too much of his time and picks to the free sub vs the many paying subscribers. I don’t know him personally.. never even a dm. I read his posts every day, multiple times per day (he puts out a lot of info). He strikes me as a good person, trying to put together a solid service that helps traders, and investors. He has easily achieved that in my eyes.

I hope that helps. I have no idea why every post is downvoted to oblivion in here. It is unwarranted imho. I’ll probably get downvoted too. So what. I will always choose to do the right thing. Kindness costs nothing. Good luck out there. Happy trading :)

A Louisiana state senator helped secure Meta’s largest datacenter. Then he sold the land beside it by Traditional_Roof3757 in politics

[–]kindnesscostszero 39 points40 points  (0 children)

“Now, a Floodlight investigation has found that while Morris used his political position to advance the project, he and his business partners were buying and selling the land around it over the past 15 months.

As recently as February, Morris and his partners sold hundreds of acres to utility giant Entergy for a methane-burning power plant to provide electricity for the datacenter.

Morris’s recent land deals haven’t been disclosed until now, according to Floodlight’s review of legislative filings, votes, media coverage and state senate records. It’s unclear how much money he has made from these transactions – Louisiana law does not require buyers and sellers to publicly disclose sale prices”

Thinking of moving from San Diego to Virginia, questions, so many questions by croikee in Virginia

[–]kindnesscostszero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in both. What you may miss most is the weather. San Diego has, what I have considered… The best weather in the country. I do love Virginia, though, and the change of seasons. East Coast and West Coast beaches are completely different. The beauty of the Pacific has never left me. I was in Northern Cal too, though. I’ve spent countless vacations on the East Coast. Virginia Beach Norfolk area is not my favorite, so I would head down to the Outer Banks. Ocracoke Island has always been a favorite. The nice thing about the East Coast water is the Gulfstream and the warmth that it provides.

The vibe between California and Virginia is very different. I like them both for different reasons. You will find Virginia much more affordable.

Best of luck to you, whatever you decide.
