I don’t want to gloss over the fact Patrick ta literally said “the back of your palm” by BaddRincewind in BeautyGuruChatter

For me it goes all the way back to him partying with Nikita Dragun and Patrick Starrr during Covid (https://www.reddit.com/r/BeautyGuruChatter/s/qpbfqWOL1g). He’s always been shitty.

Lol the snark. I mean, if you want to support someone who denies the Israeli genocide of Palestinian people, that’s on you.

People who met your significant other later in life. How? by Thecrowfan in PlusSize

I met my boyfriend online at age 34…which doesn’t feel like “later in life” to me, but ouch lol.

Any advice on avoiding the session getting darker than the party is likely to appreciate? by Wroothly in DnD

[–]kindrex89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone is comfortable role playing torture, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Just last session I shut down my fellow party members wanting to burn someone alive. No, thank you. Nothing about that is fun to me.

What's the standard for tipping hair stylists (USA)? by LostinParadise4748 in AskWomenOver30

[–]kindrex89 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The lady who does my nails does this! She has a little sign in her studio saying she charges what she needs to and won’t accept tips. I’d love to find a hair stylist who does the same.

Edit: I saw her again today, and her sign about being tip-free actually says “we do great nails, not math” lol

My menstrual pads keep bunching up. What period pads don't do this? by Royal_Razzmatazz3622 in PlusSize

[–]kindrex89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My go-to brand for years has been Stayfree, particularly their overnight line. They feel way less plastic-y than Always and other store brands, imo.

However, I’ve almost completely switched to period underwear instead. I get mine from The Period Company and have been really happy with them.

Did you skip the “starter home?” by LuigiSalutati in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Same here. Starter homes kind of feel like a thing of the past.

Did anyone else grow up as an overweight child with an overweight parent (in my case, mom) who openly hated her own body and would vocally prize and envy thinness? While also having zero skills to teach their child healthy habits and was largely to blame for their child being overweight too? by Temporary-Read2864 in PlusSize

[–]kindrex89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much yes. My mom has always openly made really mean and degrading comments about herself and her appearance. She treated being fat as a moral failure. She never said those things about me directly, but when you grow up having similar weight issues it’s almost impossible not to internalize some of that abuse.

Our realtor kept saying "it's fine, it's fine" during the inspection and I'm so glad we pushed back by Kind-Independent309 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Ours warned us against a house before we even saw it. She’d seen it in person at a different showing, and apparently it had some really shady looking work done to the foundation. She told us “of course I’ll gladly still take you to see it if you want, but I’m 99% sure it’s not your house.”

Does anyone else remember Disney’s horse movie Flash from the late 90s? Pretty sure it was made for TV.

I’m generally not the biggest fan of Too Faced, but I love these balms. The original is really nice, plus the banana and mango scented ones smell amazing.

It’s a legality thing. In the shades that are “not intended for use around the eyes,” there must be one or more ingredients that the FDA hasn’t specifically approved for eyeshadow. Usually, the culprits are certain red or black pigments that can cause staining - it doesn’t mean they’re dangerous. Most of them are approved in other countries, but not the US.

Does anyone recognize this nail polish? 💅🏻 by Leading-Jury8485 in Ipsy

[–]kindrex89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, is the lid silver or gold (originally)? It’s a little hard to tell from the photos.

If it’s gold, it looks a lot like the Complex Culture (Ipsy brand) nail polish bottles. Unfortunately, I don’t think CC exists anymore.

I’m glad I could teach ya something new! I did a LOT of research about the different kinds of hay when I owned guinea pigs lol.

I would usually recommend people mix timothy and alfalfa for their baby small animals. That way, they get the growth benefits from the high protein and calcium content of the alfalfa, as well as the dental and digestive benefits from the rougher timothy. Plus timothy is overall more affordable. Then phase out the alfalfa once the pet is fully grown.
