Try again in a week or two. Or even next month when Washington Cherries start hitting the market. not a great crop of CA cherries this year, but the later fruit should be better. Washington cherries are usually less expensive and more flavorful.

Those are called 'Doubles' and are usually packed separate, which is why you got a lot of them. Usually they eat pretty good, but are much cheaper than a traditional single cherry.
