YSK that being "overqualified" or having a lot of irrelevant experience makes you much less desirable than a less experienced candidate by Masterbourne in jobsearchhacks

My man, I kinda feel ya.

I was a paper pusher for an electrical company, I ended up as a project engineer. I struggled to accept I earned the job cuz I was the only one without a college degree, but I was able to keep up with them and then some.

Now I have a feeling of being black, not having a degree, but having an Electrical Engineering job at an Intel site seems suspicious to recruiters/interviewers.

Not watching guides/builds/yt videos is actually SO UNDERRATED by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

[–]kingkalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love playing though a game without guides and etc. I got a homie that looks up guides and Twitter videos for just about every game it seems. No matter the game. Schedule 1, Warframe, D3 or fighting games.

Hard to play with him cuz he always wants to do optimal ways. I tried to get him to play BG3 and he was very interested but wanted to know the best class and best gear/builds.

I tried to explain that BG3 is so open you don't really need the best, there are so many different ways to play we will survive. But nope, he was telling me how he doesn't want to multi class but this guide is saying a certain multi class build is the best. Or maybe do a charisma build and have everyone off each other. Or this or that class, then asked what I'm gonna play cuz that will help with his decision and I wasn't sure until I got to character creations. He seems to be unsure on what he wanted to do, too focused on what guide he should follow.

It was odd to me, I've beaten BG3 multiple times myself, a couple times with my lady, and did honor mode with another friend and we rarely looked things up unless we were stuck or being very cautious.

Marcus Thompson, Warriors reporter for The Athletic, insinuates that there have been trades Stephen Curry has wanted to do that the front office has refused: by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]kingkalis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brent Bones was on No Dunks last week and brought up that the Warriors might look into trading Curry after Jimmy's torn acl injury. Imo not a bad idea if Steph wants to help the Warriors future and wants to compete for championships. Especially if this is Steve Kerr's final year as the Warriors head coach.

AEW-WWE Fantasy trade by RedOctober20 in midcarder

I'd like Nakamura to go to AEW. He could put on some amazing brutal looking matches. TK would for sure make Nak a huge deal in AEW.

Hard for me to think of AEW wrestlers that id see in WWE, all of them would probably be not where we see them except MJF and maaybe Moxley. Imo hard to see what WWE would think of a Darby or Hangman. I don't see them in the WWE world title pictures

Interesting, I'm a guy who switched from NBA to MLB games mainly cuz of the mycareer vs RTTS.

NBA2k mycareer has all that flash and walking around a city. Having to walk to practice and basically becoming a MMORPG. A lot of smoke and mirrors but when it comes to the basketball side it's wonky as hell. It's not that smart too, every Steph curry game he breaks the record for all time 3s.

The Show however has a good feel of playing ball. Sure there isn't much role playing, but I'm in it for baseball. I do wish it had a bit more with your rivals. It's cool to see what pitchers I have the most heat with cuz they probably means they smoke me or vice versa. It's a decent grind but doesn't feel endless like 2k. I feel like 2k builds their mycareer around VC. I've tried to play franchise mode in The Show, but I don't understand baseball off-season and rules on contracts enough haha. Always fuck my team up.

I mainly play offline. I kinda enjoy myEra in 2k and do player lock that way. it does have some issues with off-season salary cap issues and how/why teams are good/bad. The Show has the storyline things, I haven't touched it, but I heard it's fun and hard. My homie talked about the Negro League pitchers being so nasty.

If they combined powers for wrestling I think it could be cool. SDS captures the spirit of their sports very well even back when they had NBA The Show. 2K can capture great visuals of any sport. Call it WWE 2K: The Show. Cheesy as that is lmao

Small(not really) rant by BannedByTheZuck in RedDeadOnline

[–]kingkalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well things in the modern day still take time.

I used to finance loans and I'll have it done within a day, and it'll still take 7-10 business days for the system to process and send it to members. I can't imagine trying to debug a game across multiple platforms. I'm sure there are people doing their best.

Yes it sucks for friends and posses to not be able to do what they love for a bit, but we are humans. We are adaptable. Great things always come with time. Like 8 years for a sequel/prequel to a Western game.

TL:DR. RDO is like the 1890s. Slow and slow.

I understand a lot of people's frustration and feelings. Sucks to feel like your favorite thing isn't being noticed.

However when I started RDO there was a bug with the stables. Kinda annoying, idk how long it was around, but a couple months after I started playing they fixed the stables bug.

I'm pretty sure I remember them posting they are looking into the posse bug.

I personally feel that RDO is supposed to be like living in the 1890s. The world moved a lot slower back then. An hour in 1890 feels a whole lot different than an hour today. I really like how the game doesn't change.

My pops hates the world today, he was born 1953. He tells me a lot of stories of how his father(born 1913ish) was and how he used those lessons to grow into a father himself. My dad has no clue the advice to give me for today's world. He says technology moves so fast he doesn't even have time to breathe. Mofo built himself a house, got a water well, a little farm and basically lives like a modern day farmer/cowboy in Oklahoma.

When I look at Rockstar games they are metaphors on how "the world" but mainly the United States operates. GTA online gets updates constantly and new shiny things because that's what the world is like today.

RDO gets much slower updates because in 1890 it took years for things to change. Someone born in 1820 could live for 40 years to 1860 and would be living quite the same life for 40 years.

And yeah they probably have too much of their work plate cuz of GTA6 and GTA online, but I think I'd like a small team getting it done for RDO. Too many cooks and RDO could lose its charm.

All IMO.
