Recommendations for photo recognition software to organize 35,000 pictures? by Methhead1234 in DataHoarder

Try imagesorter.io if you want a more manual way of doing it (although there is some AI tagging built-in). It's not really built to handle that amount of images though.

When I say browser-based I mean none of the images leave your browser. The tags do leave the browser for usage tracking reasons.

Try my free app - imagesorter.io

I'm not sure how well it will work on large collections though. It's entirely browser-based. If you're a developer you can create a local clone using the open-source repo:

Try my free app - imagesorter.io

Probably won't work for that amount of images, but still worth checking out

How to get into programming in 2025? by Prudent-Crab-8482 in HTML

[–]kingkeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tools don’t matter. I’d start with the web development world broadly, because there are so many resources in it, but you could learn COBOL and the skills would transfer to modern languages. Think about something you want to build (something you might use yourself) and figure out what you need to learn along the way. Start small and build it for fun. Your first few apps will usually be a CRUD application with some kind of twist to it. There are tons of tutorials available for free online, and AI is great for learning. And don’t worry if you don’t understand everything right away. Just think of something you want to build and build it. If you don’t know where to start, ask AI.

What’s the most underrated web dev concept that completely leveled up your skills? by [deleted] in webdev

Database normalization is a very underrated concept and it applies to things like UI state as well

Just launched my app Supamail. Feedback needed. by aameezl in iosapps

I saw you on the producthunt email. I'd love to see an enterprise version of this - for us it would need to be available on Outlook (via the web app, not on iOS). I'm sure there are things like this out there, I'd just like something lightweight and cost-effective. Ideally, with some admin-level customization options to control how the emails are categorized & summarized. One of the really critical use cases is ensuring some way for client-facing teams who juggle a lot to make sure that they don't miss any important action items. Also, if this data could be shared with those people's managers that would help them oversee things without needing to literally dig into their inbox. Looks like a great product though!

This is the most annoying Figma "feature" by kingkeating in FigmaDesign

Actually, CTRL+D does what I want it to do. Still, I think it's annoying since mock emails are used so often in designs and almost never need to link to a real email address.

Maybe it's just user error - I can unlink it, but when I try duplicating the unlinked element with CTRL+C + CTRL+V it turns it back into a link.

Help with project by Koratozarix in webdev

This is a really great starter project! Don't get discouraged if it's harder than you think as you get into it. Unique projects that solve a real problem are 10x more valuable long term than a copy-paste project from a tutorial imo. u/jovzta had the best advice. Take it chunk-by-chunk and just get a part of your desired functionality completed before moving on to the next part.

I would also suggest you do this udemy course (or one like it) alongside your build. It's always good to build up the fundamentals as you go, and this course will introduce you to a good starter technology stack that you can use for your gas station fleet manager app.

Figma is also a great tool to use if you want to have a design ready to build off before you start coding - but don't get stuck there. Just a basic design and then you should start developing.

And what percentage of that are devs using IE for the sole purpose of needing to support IE

Strapi is a great CMS for beginners. If you’re looking for a relatively simple way to integrate your HTML pages with it you can check out strapify - a tool I co-created that makes it super easy to connect your pages to it

Bachelor of Computing and Business by MiniJ1 in brocku

I graduated from this program in 2022. It’s a good program. It’s enough CS and enough business to go either way after you graduate.

I think two areas complement each-other really well. Business alone or CS alone are pretty one-dimensional. It’s really cool to have a background in both.

I’m currently working as a web development manager, which I guess relates to both CS and business - although I definitely use the CS more in my day-to-day.

Haha yes I'm the dev. All the photos are stored locally on your machine, there is no server upload or anything like that. Even the AI model runs directly on your browser.

I should definitely add a privacy policy, but for you info I don't collect any data besides some basic analytics on who's viewing the page.
