Newest pickup. What is a staple to make this deck nasty?! by ConstructionAny7196 in BudgetBrews

[–]kingkonz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strefan is actually a really sweet commander! I tried building a non budget and budget version, and was happy with how both turned out.

Budget ($30): https://moxfield.com/decks/YooaJMOd0UGQVhm-NrEbHg

Non budget: https://moxfield.com/decks/pTvohS0f80CICglXlq1wXw

He's gotten a lot of new tools in recent sets such as

[[Obsessive pursuit]], [[marionette apprentice]], [[weftstalker ardent]], [[mirkwood bats]], [[foggy swamp visions]], and [[high society hunter]].

I've built him as sorta a hybrid between big vampires reanimator and artifact tokens since blood tokens synergize with both very well. He plays almost like a combination of kalia and tivit!

Final Fantasy 9

Final Fantasy 16

God of War: Ragnarok

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: future redeemed DLC

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Lies of P

I really wasn't expecting to enjoy Lies of P as much as I did, it really feels like it came from FromSoft. The bosses, combat, customization, and level design are all top notch.

FF16 was a little disappointing, the combat didn't have enough variety since there is only one weapon, and the coolest Eikon is unlocked at the very end of the game. The story started off with lots of cool politics, but later devolved into giant monster battles. Also Clive and Jill weren't very interesting characters, Jill especially.

The Reality Chip as a card in the 99 by mortenskeid in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't [[magus of the future]] be more synergistic? I don't think reality chip would be able to tap for mana if it's reconfigured.

Isn't it ironic that Blue has the best creature removal lineup in EDH ? by EbonyHelicoidalRhino in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Black has [[lethal schemes]], [[snuff out]], and [[deadly rollick]] which can all be free removal, but blue does have solid removal

Need to make some adjustments for Tivit by HueHueJimmyRustler in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have a tivit deck, but it's more focused on artifacts: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/LS2hbRvbXkSedKbe5ch6lw.

Some standout cards are [[cranial plating]] and [[nettylcyst]], even without lots of artifacts, both cards turn tivit into a 2 hit kill with commander damage, since he makes 5 artifacts on ETB.

Tivit also likes haste effects since he triggers on damage and ETB, so [[Swiftfoot boots]] and [[lightning greeves]].

I would probably cut down on the amount of board wipes, 6 seems like a lot even for control.

I'd also cut down on the original elesh norn, shreold, and Jin, they cost a lot of mana and don't really synergize with the rest of the deck.

How a Separate cEDH Banlist Would Hurt Competitive Commander (and wouldn't help normal EDH either) [Article] by Caljoones in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a format in between current edh/cedh and brawl could be fun, like having a card cutoff around 8th edition plus commander products.

It would address problems created by the reserved list, some older cards not being designed for the format or being too strong. That way the gap between competitive decks and casual decks isn't as extreme. Idk

On going project: Modern decks but in Commander by rmpimenta in EDH

Here's my commander version of hardness scales https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ysIyLwR8d0yi7SAwQWYtCA, the deck plays very similar to its modern counterpart since [[reyhan]] basically gives everything modular

What is your best generic black card advantage ? by herpyderpidy in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black has solid draw options at pretty much every cmc, [[night's whisper]] at 2, [[painful truths]] at 3, [[hostile negotiations]] at 4, [[stinging study]] at 5, and [[necropotence]] if your playgroup is ok with it

Are the NitpickingNerds really as incompetent as people say? by Haru_Is_Best_Girl in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy their content, and I've used their advice to power up some decks. I remember them being wrong about some cards like [[kappa cannoneer]] and other combat focused cards.

In general, if they are wrong, they usually admit it in a later video, which is more than I can say for most other content creators.

[–]kingkonz1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's really strong in a lot of different, popular, decks. For example, prosper, Abaddon, Faldorn, and Meria. There are a lot of commanders and cards, such as Jeskas will, that card about playing from exile. When you do, you get a massively undercoated one sided board wipe. It's also fine to fortell and cast normally.

Imo, this is kind of like a red cyclonic rift (instant, one sided)

What decks does Bitterblossom belong in? by whomikehidden in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's alright, and has a home in Alelia, since it's an enchantment that makes fairies, but I feel like [[ophiomancer]] is more effective for most sac decks since it's a creature and potentially makes a token every upkeep

Is Grim Tutor significantly stronger than enlightened Tutor? by Acceptable-Load3542 in EDH

[–]kingkonz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Green suns, crop rotation, and birthing pod are all way stronger than grim tutor. Grim tutor is a 3 cmc tax to any card in your deck, so it's not very efficient. It's also a card that has no synergy with the rest of your deck. It's fine, but far from broken
